Should I Spend Donuts on It’s a Wonderful Knife and Gino?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The Terwilligers are making their way back into Springfield!  The initial, Act One, update brings the littlest Terwillinger to our stores, Gino!  Now I know you may be trying to decide if this is worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it!  We’re here to tell you what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add Gino to YOUR Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of bringing this pint sized killer to YOUR Springfield!

Building/Decoration: It’s A Wonderful Knife
Character: Gino
Donut Price: 150 donuts
Earning: $90, 10xp/2hrs.  (Sorry guys my computer crashed while writing this and I didn’t realize it restored to a previous version.  This does not payout a bonus %, it has hourly earnings)
Conform-O-Meter: Consumerism +10
Where Can I Place It?: Squidport Only
Size: 4×6

Pros:
-Comes with a quest line (it’s ok, not great but ok)
-Premium character earns 50% more on all cash and xp than a freemium character
-Gino will be included in two character groups that will earn you more Corn.  He’s considered both a Criminal and a Kid, so he’ll have 2 Corn Earning Tasks (assuming you Level Monsarno up enough to unlock them)
-It’s a Wonderful Knife is a great looking building, fits nicely on Squidport

Cons:
-Gino is not voiced
-No character interaction with It’s a Wondferful Knife.
-No addtional Currency Earning Tasks (Spades/Trowels/Shoveles what have you…or anything else upcoming)

Final Thought:
Premium Take:
I like Gino.  He’s a cute kid and makes me giggle.  Plus I like the fact that It’s a Wonderful Knife is another building for Squidport and I really like the look of it.  150 donuts is a bit steep for a characeter combo, but it’s not the most expensive we’ve seen (heck Grimey was 160).  If you’re a premium player with some extra donuts to spend I say go for it with Gino.  Just remember, it’s only Act One and more is coming.  So if you’re a premium player and tight on donuts you may want to hold off for now.  There’s no benefit to adding Gino now or at the end of the event.

Freemium Take:
While there are a lot of things I like about Gino and It’s a Wonderful Knife, I would hold off (at least for now) if I were a premium player and donuts were harder to come by.  There’s still a lot more to see in this event, and you never know what’s going to hit the store.  So at least for now, I’d pass on Gino and It’s a Wonderful Knife as a freemium player.

Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell you I will be purchasing little Gino.    However, this is one item in the store that will be around for the entire event.  So you don’t have to make a decision right away, Gino will still be in the store when Acts 2 and 3 hit.  So if you want to hold off for now and wait to see what else arrives, that may be your better bet.

Gino’s Permanent Tasks:

Task  Length Earns Location
Play with Handmade Toys 1hr $105, 26 Outdoor
Declare Vendetta 4hrs $260, 70xp Outdoor
Wait for Bart 8hrs $420, 105xp Treehouse
Playdate with the Octuplets 12hrs $600, 150xp Kwik-E-Mart
Torture Stuffed Animals 24hrs $1000, 225xp Brown House

*He also has two tasks to earn MORE Corn, as he’s considered both a Criminal and a Youngster.  Both of those tasks will unlock as you Level Up Monsarno.  Gino also has a 24hr task involving Monsarno, however it will not be unlocked until Act 2 starts and you Level Monsarno up further.
