It was five years ago, just after the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs bracket was complete that I thought it might be cool to do a The Simpsons Tapped Out bracket. Here we are in the thick of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs again, and it’s time for our fifth TSTO Addicts Bracket Battle!
How much longer EA can keep Tapped Out going is up for debate. But what isn’t debatable is that there is A LOT of content in the rich history of The Simpsons universe still not in our little game. There is so much in fact, that it was hard just to narrow it down to 64 entries to start with. With that in mind, we present to you TSTO Addicts’ Most Desired Episode Content Bracket Battle.
We created a Bracket of 64 awesome episodes that would provide freemium and premium characters, NPCs, skins for existing characters, decorations, and/or buildings.
These 64 episodes from the past 30 seasons will then battle each other in six rounds of head-to-head matchups, that we hope produces the most debate in the comments below. Every Monday over summer, we’ll post that week’s matchups and your votes will determine which episode content advances to the next round, until we’ve crowned “The Most Desired Episode Content” on Monday September 2nd.
Quickly, some general housekeeping rules and guidelines:
– The expanded landscape of The Simpsons means there are several episodes with loads of content that could have made the bracket, but ultimately just fell short.
– The selected 64 episodes have been divided into four conferences: Seasons 1 to 7, Seasons 8 to 14, Season 15 to 22, and Season 23 to 30.
– Weekly matchups will be posted on Monday and voting will remain open for just over 6 days until noon EDT the following Sunday.
– The schedule of matchups is as follows:
o Monday May 6th – The Season 1, 8, 15, and 23 matchups in all four conferences
o Monday May 13th – The Season 2, 9, 16, and 24 matchups in all four conferences
o Monday May 20th – The Season 3, 10, 17, and 25 matchups in all four conferences
o Monday May 27th – The Season 4, 11, 18, and 26 matchups in all four conferences
o Monday June 3rd – The Season 5, 12, 19, and 27 matchups in all four conferences
o Monday June 10th – The Season 6, 13, 20, and 28 matchups in all four conferences
o Monday June 17th – The Season 7, 14, 21, and 29 matchups in all four conferences
o Monday June 24th – The Season 1 to 7 wildcards, 8 to 14 wildcards, 22, and 30 matchups in all four conferences
o Monday July 1st – The first conference quarterfinal matchups in all four conferences
o Monday July 8th – The second conference quarterfinal matchups in all four conferences
o Monday July 15th – The third conference quarterfinal matchups in all four conferences
o Monday July 22nd – The fourth conference quarterfinal matchups in all four conferences
o Monday July 29th – The first conference semi-final matchups in all four conferences
o Monday August 5th – The second conference semi-final matchups in all four conferences
o Monday August 12th – The finals in all four conferences
o Monday August 20th – The Semi Finals
o Monday August 26th – The Championship Finals
o Monday September 2nd – The winner is unveiled
– Should any of the episode content have at least 5 of the items be released into our game over the summer, they will be replaced by the episode content they most recently defeated.
