Ah….it’s time again for another episode of WDTCF (Where Did That Come From?) or as I like to call it, Hey…I Don’t Remember That! or HIDRT!
It’s pretty easy to not remember something or someone with more than 600 episodes to choose from. And although, EA can’t seem to find it in their hearts to give us characters we actually remember, (Like Sarah Wiggum), they seem to have no issue whatsoever giving us obscure, one-offs.
But, this time…I have a sense that the writers and maybe even the “Voice Actors” had something to do with this choice. Because the character in play, is the one, and only (as in, she was only in one episode) June Bellamy!
Don’t remember June? Well like most voice actors, you may not know them by their faces (I mean can anyone tell me what Tress McNeal looks like??)
No? Well Tress is a real person, and is on more Simpsons episodes than almost any of the “star actors”…and so if you don’t remember what Tress looks like, it may be even harder to remember who June is, because she is only BASED on a real person. Kinda. Continue reading →
It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.
So, here is your Open Thread…..
First off, it’s Father’s Day. So Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there! Hope y’all have a great day!

It’s update time in Springfield! Well, update 2 and a half weeks ago time. As the all-new Itchy and Scratchy Land event hit our games recently. A twist on amusement fun, including the destruction of Krustyland. In this episode, we’ll be talking Itchy and Scratchy Land, the ruins of Krustyland and oh those dreaded bugs and glitches!
And as always we’ll also be fielding your questions! So join us live for all the fun! (of course, if you can’t make it live watching the replay is still pretty awesome too!)
Ah…another Act is upon us, and another “Grindtastic Weekend” awaits! Is it possible to stay on track to “get everything,” while still having a life? Yes. Yes it is…if you are smart about how you spend your time. Most of the “grinding” these days is actually “Grinding Lite,” as the critical stuff only takes a few seconds.
But, EA has continued to make things challenging, once you win items…in that with the item limit restrictions in place, some of us have to be pretty clever in how we maximize our bonuses. We need to have fun with the items that we win…without getting the dreaded, “YOU HAVE REACHED YOUR ITEM LIMIT…YOU SUCK!” message (I might have been paraphrasing there a bit…but it is the way it makes you feel).
Nonetheless, (don’t you love a word like “nonetheless?” It looks like a run-on mistake…but it really is a word! Like aforementioned, and heretofore…English is so weird sometimes), where were we? Oh. right…Nonetheless, there are ways to deal with the Lag Issue that some continue to face, as well as trying to figure out ways to maximize our bonus earnings while cramming everything into the “Bonus Blue” area for Itchy&ScratchyLand.
BOOM!! And we are off to another Grindfest of Marginal Excitement!! Act II Prizes are relatively repetitive, but a little better (as in a little) than act one.
As with Act I, the First Prize is actually serves a couple of purposes. First, it is another ride for Itchy and Scratchy Land. Second, it unlocks the Crafting area for Level 5 of Crafting…which coincidentally is mostly just a bunch of add-on parts for said ride. And Lastly…it will help you increase your bonus percentage when/if you place said ride within the Blue Bonus Area that is associated with the main gate.
It’s nearly summertime (at least in the Northern Hemisphere) and who doesn’t think of theme park visits when thinking about summer? With the latest Itchy and Scratchy Land update you can build your own theme park in TSTO AND eliminate Krustyland once and for all! Just make sure you have your flashbulb cameras ready to destroy the evil robots…
As was mentioned on the rundown post Act 2 of Itchy and Scratchy Land runs until June 27th, and Itchy will kick things off.
Don’t forget the Questline will help you get some bonus prize currency…so make sure you complete it to earn that extra currency…also the questline is there to guide you. Make sure you complete the main questline in order to unlock things like neighbor actions, crafting and more.
Now let’s work our way through the stabby, stabby splashy, splashy of the Act 2 questline….
There’s no EAsy way to say this… It looks like another grindfest if you “want it all.” The real question is, “Do you really want it all?” The EAsy answer…OF COURSE YOU DO!! After all…we’re addicts…right?
So…while there may be a subtle message being delivered here to a-BORT! (Sorry…couldn’t help myself) by EA, the fact is, we are now deep into making Itchy & Scratchy Land – along with the newly revived KrustyLand (perhaps we should rename it “Lazarus Land” and combine it with Praise Land) the largest tract of land in our entire Springfields. I’m starting to wonder if the designers are all adapting to the “Over 60” players, by making everything so big, you don’t need your reading glasses to place it. But, I digress…
This is one of those events, where at least for Act I, it is almost easier to write about what ISN’T from one episode of the Simpsons. But, if we are going to stay true to form, I’ll just list all of the things that ARE from this single episode.
Itchy’s Mine Field
Itchy & Scratchy Helicopter
Roger Meyers Sr. Statue
Itchy & Scratchy Banner
Itchy & Scratchy Land Ticket Booth
Itchy Parking Lot, Scratchy Parking Lot
Itchy and Scratchy Land Gate
Got it? So…really…the only things from Itchy and Scratchy Land from Act I, that AREN’T in this episode, are…well…Diane. That’s it. Just Diane.
My training in my youth was better than this. Really.
I was trained to write a “Thank You Note” almost as soon as I received a gift. At Christmas, the marching orders from my Mom were, “You can’t play with your gift, until you write a thank you note!” That was pretty good motivation, unless it was socks, or a sweater from my Aunt in Illinois. But, you get it…
So…I SHOULD have written this last week…or, even the week before. But, as you might remember, all hell broke loose in our Krustylands. Nukes were tossed, and mayhem ensued. I got distracted…
