Time for another fun and exciting prize post, as we kick of the 2021 Christmas in TSTO prize track!
Act 1 of the Holiday Whodunnit event consists of 1 new building, 5 new decorations, 1 character (which we’ll cover in another post), and 2 new bonus animated tasks…oh and a Mystery Box token.
We covered the decorations/buildings in this post, so it’s now time to take a look at the lone full character prize on the Act 1 prize track, Herb Tannenbaum…

Herb starts
Bart: Cool, look at all the presents under the Christmas tree!
Lisa: Wow. Mom and Dad must have gone all out this year.
Bart: I call dibs on this one.
Lisa: You can’t call dibs on someone else’s present; it’s got my name on it.
Bart: Not anymore. *switches names*
Lisa: MOM! Bart’s taking my presents again.
Herb Tannenbaum: Whoa, Christmas is a time for sharing.
Bart And Lisa: Ahh! An alien!
Herb Tannenbaum: Oh, I’m not an alien. I’m a sentient arboreal being. Specifically the species holidayus-topiaricus. Name’s Herb Tannenbaum, nice to meet ya.
Bart: Lisa, why is the Christmas tree talking?
Lisa: Don’t look at me. Maybe it has something to do with the water contamination from the power plant?
Bart: I don’t think I’m okay with this.
Herb Tannenbaum: The only thing contaminated here is your downer Christmas spirit. Maybe an extra Christmas present will cheer you up.
Bart: Actually, I’m fine with this.

Herb starts
Bart: Whoa, you can make presents?!
Herb Tannenbaum: Pfft, you think Santa’s the only one with presents? Between you and me, Christmas is kinda MY gig. I LET Santa take all the glory, cuz, you know…I’m not into all that.
Bart: Right. Can I have another one?
Lisa: No, Bart. It’s my turn for a gift!
Bart: You’ll get your turn. *shoves Lisa*
Herb Tannenbaum: Whoa, whoa. No need for violence. Here, have another present.
Bart: *gasp* *whispering* Lisa, push me.
Lisa: What? I’m not gonna push you. You probably have a hidden camera or something so you can rat on me. *pushes Bart* Sorry, muscle spasm.
Herb Tannenbaum: Easy, little lady. Here, maybe a present will mellow you out.
Lisa: *gasp*
Bart: This is great, we can get endless presents!
Lisa: Slow down! You’re like three presents ahead of me! *pushes Bart*
Bart: Should we quit while we’re ahead? I mean, who knows what’ll happen if we keep this up.
Lisa: Not until that thing spits out a pony! *pushes Bart*

Bart: Uh oh, I think we broke him!

Bart: I’m the one who suggested stopping. You should have listened to MY conscience.
Lisa: Don’t worry, Herb. Here’s some water.
Herb Tannenbaum: Oh, thanks. Making all those presents for you two sure was a lot of work.
Bart: Sorry, man. We didn’t mean to hurt you. But, uh…let us know as soon as you’re ready to start again.
Herb Tannenbaum: No apology necessary. As long as you are all feeling the Christmas spirit now, that’s all that matters.
Bart: *opening mounds of presents* Oh yeah, I’m feeling it.
Lisa: But the Christmas spirit shouldn’t just be about getting presents, right? Herb, maybe there’s something we can do for you, too?
Herb Tannenbaum: Now you’re getting it. And as a matter of fact, there is. Could you help clean me?
Bart: Ugh, like…get your hard-to-reach areas?
Herb Tannenbaum: Nah, just stand back and try to catch whatever comes out before it runs back inside.
Lisa: I beg your pardon?
