Springfield Showoff: Watcher In The Woods

Advertisements

As we sit here frakkin files, pulling pics, and typing a million words a minute to get our readers the latest updates and information…we find ourselves sometimes forgetting to stop and enjoy our own games. More so our neighboreenos. So we try to make it a point to hop in n out of the towns now and then to see what cool things YOU are up to. So we have decided we want to continue to focus more attention (as if we don’t already 😛 ) on YOU…our readers. Time to time we will be peaking into your towns, checking our Flickr, and also the posts in the comments below to see what cool ideas and designs YOU have come up with to make your towns unique and…well…YOU. So here is YOUR chance to show off all your hard work, time, donuts & in game cash spent. Send us your work, no matter how big or small. Brag about it to the world. We want you to. (That and Bunny loves to see other designs and get inspiration from it.) Then keep your eyes posted to Addicts to see if YOU end up on our “SPRINGFIELD SHOWOFF”.

With working around and redesigning two separate games, it is easy to get burnt out or just get stuck and not sure what to do. Redesigns are quite time consuming and a lot of work. I am currently still slowly putting together my Bunny B town and wanted a lil more inspiration for my “Wooded/Forest” area.

Who better to get some cool ideas from than a HUGE group of amazing Addicts?! So I put it out there for YOU to show me what you have done with all those trees and “woodsy” type buildings. Here are the results I got…

Amir made a really cool “Island of Misfit Toys” in their town surrounded by a lot of woods. Is it to keep them in or keep others out? Lol. OOoooh this could be a good hiding spot for a couple of mischievous Furballs. 🙂

dexsurf has their wishing well tucked into the middle of a great maze. For people to wish they WEREN’T insane? They also have a lot going on with a forest and waterfront type area next to their beach.

willamvandev has quite the forest going on in their town. I like the use of Brown Houses and kind of “cabins”. A way in my mind to utilize “good housefarming” techniques.

tchavez86 also used the Brown Houses as a kind of “cabin” for their Fort Sensible.

sambakitty has Wiggum and the guys “hiding” out of Fat Tony’s view, a cute lil place for Guinea’s to roam free as well as hide some Holiday items, then there is the lil turn off to get some farm goods or a Guinea.

molsey352 got a great shot of a Guinea trying to escape. Something that we won’t be able to see. His Guineas are in the middle of their forest. Just watch out, Hank looks to be in the BBQ-ing mood. Lol.

Linkwick has a few great forests going on. Can you see all the lil details tucked into each one? What did YOU find?

Fresco3332 has some pretty simplistic “wooded” areas.

EvilKitten812 also used the Brown Houses to makes some cool cabins in the forest. Great next to Kamp Krusty, Fort Sensible, and the Log Cabin

dutt-dog has a few items from last years Whacking Day tucked in around their wooded area along with that Golden Calf. Looks like a fun vacation/camping spot.

BrianZoro used the Brown Houses for cabins deep in their woods. Chalmers looks happy to be fishing. Fat Tony looks like he enjoys his seclusion the woods give him. As long as he has SOMETHING on in that hot tub. o.O

So there you have it. Some really cool ideas of what to do when making a Forest/Wooded area. I would still love to see more, so always feel free to keep sending them in, posting to Flickr, etc. What did YOU think of the designs? Anything cool you want to incorporate into YOUR town? Sound off in the comments below. Next week…APARTMENT LIVING!! We have several complexes to choose from now, including Apu’s Apartment with Manjula just released on Level 39. I want to know what YOU have done with all of them. SHOW ME!!!
