As we sit here frakkin files, pulling pics, and typing a million words a minute to get our readers the latest updates and information…we find ourselves sometimes forgetting to stop and enjoy our own games. More so our neighboreenos. So we try to make it a point to hop in n out of the towns now and then to see what cool things YOU are up to. So we have decided we want to continue to focus more attention (as if we don’t already 😛 ) on YOU…our readers. Time to time we will be peaking into your towns, checking our Flickr, and also the posts in the comments below to see what cool ideas and designs YOU have come up with to make your towns unique and…well…YOU. So here is YOUR chance to show off all your hard work, time, donuts & in game cash spent. Send us your work, no matter how big or small. Brag about it to the world. We want you to. (That and Bunny loves to see other designs and get inspiration from it.) Then keep your eyes posted to Addicts to see if YOU end up on our “SPRINGFIELD SHOWOFF”.
So while we are all around awaiting the arrival of new content, I figured it would be fun to play around some more in my B town. I have been working in it off and on. Designing groupings and areas at a time.
While working on one section, I found I wanted a lil more inspiration. I think it is almost done, but want a few finishing touches to complete it. Since I draw inspiration from others, I decided this would be a could topic for this weeks Springfield Showoff.
Here is my wooded area. It is a combination of “Olden Times” on one side and “Futuristic” on the other. I really wish they would bring back the Fort Sensible so I could have it in my B game too. I have it in my A game, but want it in the B game as I think it would work great with the Mayflower. (Yes, Bart set half the place on fire. Lol.) Click on the photo to open it in a separate screen and see all the lil details tucked into all the corners.
Now, I want to see what YOU have done with wooded areas. Did you make a trailer park? Campground? Creepy haunted forest? What buildings did you use? Kamp Krusty, Lincoln’s Cabin, Brown Houses, Guinea Pig Rescue Center? SHOW ME!!!
Do you want to be featured on the next Springfield Showoff? Post your images to the Addicts Flickr, share them in the Comments below, share your images on our Facebook Page, Link them to our Twitter feed, or email us your screenshots at TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com. We can’t wait to see YOUR designs! (Need help with images, just ask.)
Guinea pig, guinea pig, let me in…
Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin….
Well I’m huffing and puffing but no matter what I do, those dang pigs won’t come out of their house. Wookieetown was once bustling with these cute little fuzzballs but alas, I ate them all. Lisa had me excited with her 8 hr task at the Rescue Center but I must admit I was disappointed that this task was only a one-time deal. No matter how I tap on the building, I only hear those poor cute piggys squeal and nothing more. I really liked this building animation and hope to see it return. (hint hint EA)
Looks like an Episode Tie-In for this week’s “War of Art” episode just hit our devices. Working through the details as we speak, but this is an in-game update. Meaning it will download automatically once you start TSTO, so you don’t have to go to the App Store looking for it!
As always we’ll update THIS post with more details once we have them.
UPDATE: Mayor Quimby kicks things off, but it is an auto start.
You may have trouble getting it to start in your town, if that happens try all of the usual troubleshoot methods (hard close and restart app, restart your device. You may have to do it more than once)
SPOILER ALERT: More specific game details after the fold.
