Where Did THAT Come From: Hungry Hun

Advertisements

In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where did THAT Come From?

This post I will be going over the Origin of the Hungry Hun. Where did it show up at? What does it have to do with the stuff in our game now? Did anything exciting happen there? Let’s dive into the Simpsons TV Series to find out more.

Season 3, Episode 11: Burns Verkaufen der Kraftwerk
Mr. Burns is feeling a lil down and mentions to Smithers that he is thinking about selling the Power Plant. He later speaks of this to Homer, who then mentions it to some Germans at Moe’s that are looking for a Power Plant to buy. A lil later we see Burns and Smithers heading into the Hungry Hun to meet with the Germans.

Season 6, Episode 13: And Maggie Makes 3
The night that Maggie was…created…Homer and Marge went out for a romantic evening. As the shot pans through town, there is a lil place just by the theater and Krusty Burger that looks to be the Hungry Hun. (So rumor says. I am still not sure it actually is.)

Season 11, Episode 3: Guess Who’s Coming to Criticize Dinner?
After a trip to the local newspaper, the Springfield Shopper, Homer stumbles in one one food critic retiring. He ends up being offered the position of Food Critic and heads all over town to try out restaurants and write about them, with the help of Lisa of course. He ends up listening to some other local critics though and starts making quite mean reviews. This in turn makes the owners vow to kill him at the “Taste Of Springfield” event.

At the Taste of Springfield, you can catch a glimpses of the Hungry Hun booth among the others while Homer goes about. Also just as Homer is about to eat the poisoned eclair.

There you have it. A very interesting restaurant who’s owner was involved in a murder plot. What do YOU think of the Hungry Hun? Did you purchase it? Do you wish characters used it, like Uter and the Simpsons? Let us know your thoughts below.
