Halloween 2016 101: Act 1 Math

Advertisements

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Seeing a LOT of questions/concerns in the comments about whether or not you’ll be able to earn enough film () each day to keep up with the calendar and unlike all of the prizes.

So let’s calm those worries and quickly breakdown the math and how to succeed in getting everything….

First…let’s remember the Ralph way of tapping.  Don’t over think it.  Just have fun and tappa, tap, tap. 🙂

There are several ways to earn film during Act 1.  I’m just going to cover the bare minimum freemium ways that apply to everyone.  If you have premium characters/buildings that earn currency..well you’ll just be WAY ahead of the game 🙂

So according to the Calendar you’ll need 3,408  /day to earn all of the prizes.  Seems like a daunting task, huh?

Let’s break down how simple it really is…

Here are the items we have a firm daily control over…

Tapping Feral Monsters

So these guys have max of 40 in your town at once, with a bank of 40.  (so 80 max)  The files indicate that the spawn rate is every 20 minutes…now here’s what’s a little more confusing, the number that spawn every 20 minutes.

It appears to me, based on how i’m interpreting things that it’s NOT 1 every 20 minutes (and that’s based just on what i see in my game..these things are everywhere!).  It looks like it’s a rate of 4/20 minutes that spawn. That’s how i’m interpreting what I see in the files…I could be wrong, but that’s how it looks to me.

For safety sake I’m going to assume you can tap 120 of these/day.  Which is less than i’ve managed to tap today, but I’m being safe here.

Each Feral Monster pays out 6  when tapped (they also drop crafting currency, but that’s on a random basis..and not always.  And we’ll cover that in the crafting post).  So 6 x120 monsters is… 720/day (at least) from tapping feral monsters.

Neighbor Actions

You’re allowed 9o total neighbor actions/day (1 tap=1 action…and we’ve got a neighbor actions covered on this post.  Towards the bottom).  Each tap yields       5 .

So 5 x 90 actions= 450/day

Giant Monsters

The Super Monsters spawn at a rate of 2/4hrs, and will continually spawn at that rate (even if you haven’t cleared them yet) until you have 10 in your town at once. (in otherwords if you clear them every 4hrs, you’ll always have 2 Giant Monsters waiting for you when they’re cleared).

For now, you earn 150/Giant Monster you defeat.  This equates to 300/4hrs.  In a 24hr period you’ll spawn 12 monsters (and in this case you count 12/day…since they can accumulate.  So you don’t lose time for sleep..).

So 150 x 12 monsters/day= 1,800/day.

Trick-Or-Treating

This is one thing that will increase as time goes on and you earn more MAG points. (I know a bunch of you are confused no MAG points, I’ll have a full post on it I promise)  Initially you can only send Bart Trick-or-Treating (Squeaky Voiced Teen too, if you have him).  But if you craft 1 item that earns MAG points, you’ll unlock Milhouse too.  So we’re going to figure you’ve got at least Bart and Milhouse to trick-or-treat.  With the understanding that you’ll unlock more characters to trick-or-treat as you progress in Act 1…

So Bart & Milhouse will earn 30  each every 4hrs from Trick or Treating.  Let’s assume you do this at least 4 times/day.

30 x 4= 120 x 2 (for Bart and Milhouse)= 240 /day via Trick or Treating just from Bart and Milhouse.

So right now we’re at 3,210 /day…just from the minimal items in this event. And with things you can control.

But the Calendar says you need to earn 3,408 /day to stay on track and earn all of the prizes.  So how do you make up the remaining 200 ?

There are a few ways….

Questline…

You’ll earn 400  from the questline (this is just from Completed Task rewards, I’m not including Homer fighting the Giant Monster or Bart Trick or Treating, that’s part of the questline because they’re covered above)

So 400 /13ish days that Act 1 lasts is about 30ish /day on average from the questline…

Daily Challenges

You will occasionally receive a daily challenge that will earn you more .  From what I’ve seen it’s a reward of 350.
Of course the total amount for act 1 will vary for each player, based on how many you get throughout act 1

Friend Actions in YOUR Town..

When your friends tap on cameras on your town you can clear those spots to earn 1 / tap.  Let’s assume you earn 20/day from this.

MAG Prizes

Several of the MAG prizes award .  (350  each time, for a total of 1,750 f0r Act 1).

This will be MORE than enough to push you over the top with .

As you can see there are PLENTY of opportunities to earn MORE than enough  throughout Act 1 to unlock all the prizes, at a bare minimum play.

And of course there are a large chunk of you who will be able to earn more  through various other ways.  Here are some other ways you can earn

-Character tasks at MAG.  Count Burns, Booberella, Suzanne the Witch and the Space Mutant (all characters from previous THOH Events) all have the ability to earn 50 /4hrs with a task at MAG.  This could equate to an additional 800/day  (if you have all 4 and clear it 4 times a day).

-Premium characters Trick-or-Treating.  Squeaky Voiced Teen unlocks at the Rich House for Trick-or-Treating along with Bart initially.  He can earn an extra 50/4hrs for Trick-or-Treating.  That’s an additional 200/day (clear/resetting it 4 times/day) if you have him.

-Unlocking more characters for Trick-or-Treating via MAG points.  Several other characters will unlock with more MAG points as you progress through Act 1.

So the bottom-line relax.  This one really is easy.  And you should have no problem unlocking everything with steady game play… 🙂

Remember…have some fun!  It’s a game, it’s made to be fun! 🙂
