Where Did THAT Come From – Castle Headquarters, GHOST Enforcer, & Stradivarius Cain

In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where Did THAT Come From?

Wowza… the 2017 Secret Agent Simpsons Event is in full effect and we’re all busy collecting intel, crafting subversive surveillance items, and tapa-tapa-tapping secret agents and spies in a covert palooza all about Globex, the EPA, GHOST, and the CIA. It’s enough to make me want to watch Roger Moore, Sean Connery, Don Adams, and Rowan Atkinson on repeat. Hooray for new ideas in TSTO. Just like the xxth Bond movie, life lessons as an adult, or an intelligence collection mission, I’m sure a lot of us never saw this coming. Of course, with any new event, there’s always an inevitable tapping on my attic floor from Alissa to get started on writing about the origins for it all. It’s always a pleasure to re-watch episodes of the Best. Show. Ever. to do just that. For this round of origins, we’ll be taking a look at a few of the spy items from the event.

Castle Headquarters – craftable at Level 12
G.H.O.S.T. Enforcer – first prize for completing the G.H.O.S.T. dossiers
Stradivarius Cain – 7th Act Three Prize for 70,250 corporate intel

“The Spy Who Learned Me” (S23:E20)

The episode starts right off with us watching a movie with Stradivarius Cain in it. Think James Bond lampooned Simpsons style. A helicopter is seen headed towards the castle headquarters.

When the chopper lands… none other than the G.H.O.S.T. Enforcer exits the aircraft.

Of course Stradivarius Cain is there to bust up the meeting of the International Brotherhood of Evil. I truly laugh every time it’s revealed that he snuck in by holding on to the helicopter’s rotor. He’s just there to break up the meeting between villains and supervillains highlighting evil in the age of social media. Weird… a topical show three to four years early.

Cain does all the super spy awesomeness you’d expect against the big bads all while Homer yells out puns during different scenes of the movie.

It’s this that leads us to the rest of the episode. Marge is none too happy with Homer’s behavior during their date night and he’s in the dog house. Then Homer suffers a head injury at work, gets 8 weeks paid time off, and his honey is so ticked, Homer doesn’t feel he can stay at home to enjoy time with her. Instead he whiles away his time and watches a Cain spy movie on TV at Moe’s.

Homer wishes he could unzip his zipper and be Strad. Fortunately for him, his head injury and resultant concussion causes hallucinations and Stradivarius Cain shows up to help him reignite the love in his marriage by making Homer a man his wife can’t resist.

You may also remember from another origin post I did that Dr. Cain appears as Cleatus the NFL Robot in the episode.

It all ends in a classic Bond sort of way. I think I just love Bryan Cranston’s voice throughout the episode.

That’s really it unless you count seeing Mr. Cain’s movie on one of the Springfield Elementary kid’s tablets in “Mathlete’s Feat” (S26:E22).

So there you go. Another international man of mystery who just so happens to be a fictional character and hallucination who hails from an episode which includes two other items from the current event in TSTO. What do you think of all these? Did you earn all the prizes? I dig that each of these was free. I’ll admit I enjoy the Castle HQ skin more knowing it came from an episode. Sound off in the comments with your thoughts and comments. Happy spying friends.
