Remember…this is an automatic change in your game. Nothing to download, it should just start up in your game..
Lisa, Homer & Moe will start this for you with dialogue. This will be followed by a 4hr task for Homer.
Pirate Era (and remainder of the event) Runs until July 5th
Just what does Act 3 have in store for us? Let’s take a look…
New Prize Currency for Pirate Era.
So the ability to earn Papyri is now gone. Your counter prize track for the Pirate Era has reset to zero because you have zero Eye Patches. So forget about those Papyri…time to cover up with those Eye Patches!
You’ll earn Eye Patches very similar to how you earned Papyri during the Egyptian Era…
-Clearing the new Tappables (Rats)
– Clearing Rats in your Neighbor’s towns
-Tasks at Mom and Pops Hardware (earn shovels and eye patches)
-Dig Site, each Square you earn will earn Eye Patches (like it earned currency for the last 2 eras), output will vary depending on your Panini Press Level.
-Daily Challenges
-Waterslide (if you’ve purchased it)
You’ll also earn Eye Patches from the questline…don’t ignore the questline. You earn a ton of Event currency from it, it’s important for your prize track total..
New Pirate Era Tappables
So gross…
The New Pirate Era Tappable is Rats. They still spawn, 1 every 3 minutes. The Max in your town at once 30, Bank 50. So your town and bank is full every 4hrs….
Each one you tap earns you…

Excavation Site Prizes
You’ll need 48 
The same characters can earn shovels. Blackbeard earns
And the prizes are..
Remember it’s a running total…and those little icons are the hidden treasures you find at the excavation site.
Pirate Era Personal Prizes
Bonuts are still there after prize track is complete.
Egyptian Prizes…
If you didn’t collect them all… you can still access them by tapping on the “EGYPTIAN” tab in the Personal Prizes area. As you can no longer collect items for them, your only option now is to pay donuts to outright buy each one left at the point you left off at. (Just like every other event recently.)
Crafting
Crafting remains, as it was during the 2 previous Eras, for the Pirate Era.
Specimen for crafting are earned via the prize track, Daily Challenges, tapping rats, Excavation site and the Historical Society (if you purchased it)
New Items in the Store..
Returning
If you already have the shipwreck you can purchase additional Stacks of beer (35 donuts), Stocks (10 donuts) and Explosives (15 donuts)
