Should I Spend Donuts On the Timberlog Diner?

Advertisements

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Grab your Santa hats and break out the tinsel because it’s Christmas time in Springfield! Yes the annual TSTO Christmas event has arrived in our pocket-sized towns, covering our usual perfect weather towns with a fresh blanket of bright, white, snow!   Of course, by now, we all know that a new event means a new excuse for EA to fill our stores with limited-time premium items to tempt us.

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Timberlog Diner to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding the 500th diner to your town…

Cons
-Comes with a permanent 4hr task for Homer, Eat All the Donuts…how many 4hr tasks does Homer need?

-More expensive than other event currency earning buildings we’ve seen the last 2 weeks
-How many diners does Springfield need?

Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
Yes, it has a permanent task and earns event currency but I’m really on the fence with this one.  I feel like the cons far outweigh the pros for this one.  If you really like it grab it, but otherwise I’d pass.

Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I’m on the fence.  But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Here’s a look at the questline…

Timberlog Diner Pt. 1
Auto starts

Homer: Ooh, look, guys! A new restaurant! I wanna try! Pull over!
Carl: Homer, we just ate.
Lenny: Just pull over, Carl. You know how he gets…
Carl: That’s exactly the point. Homer needs to learn that he can’t always have what he wants.
Lenny: He’s just going to keep asking and asking…
Homer: Pull over! Pull over! Pull over! Huuuuuunnnnggggrrrryyyyyy!
Carl: If we always give in, he’s going to grow up to be a selfish monster.
Lenny: He’s only thirty-eight years old. You can’t expect him to act like an adult. Cut him some slack.
Carl: No. This time I’m putting my foot down.
Make Homer Have a Hunger Induced Panic Attack Count- 4hrs, Earns $260, 70xp
Carl: All right, all right! We’ll stop for food! Just settle down, Homer!

Carl: Don’t use your therapist voice on me. I’m doing the best I know how.
Homer: Food!!!

Timberlog Diner Pt. 2

Lenny: Waiter? Can we get a plate of donuts?
Carl: You always have to undermine me, don’t you, Lenny?
Make Homer Eat All the Donuts Count 4hrs, Earns $260, 70xp

Carl: That is really disgusting.
Lenny: Don’t pick on him, okay? At least he’s eating.

Lenny: Hey, I get it. You worry because you care. Homer’s just going through a phase. He’ll grow out of it.
Carl: Promise?
Lenny: Promise.
Homer: *furious donut eating*
