Should I Spend Donuts On Colonel Burns’ Mansion and Young Burns?

Advertisements

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

TSTO is back baby!  We’re FINALLY getting on, what feels like, a somewhat normal update schedule!  Praise Jebus! The theme of this multi-event?  Simpson Babies. Of course, an all-new mini-event means all-new premium content in our stores, just tempting us to drop those pink sprinkles!

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add Colonel Burns’ Mansion and Young Burns to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this old-timey combo to your town…

Pros
-Helps with the event, earns a special premium rate (only Act 2)
-4 and 12hr animated tasks
-House is animated when in use lights on.
-Young Burns will use Colonel Burns’ Mansion for tasks.
-(Big) Burns has a permanent 4hr task at the Mansion, Flip his Grandfather’s Home
-Comes with a (short) questline
-Voiced

Cons
-Only helps with Act 2 currency
-A young version of Burns
-4hr task is basically the same task regular Burns has (hide Nuclear waste).  A missed opportunity in my book.

Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
Like just about everything else with this event, it’s fairly priced by today’s TSTO standards for a building/character combo.  I’m a fan, and it’s a good buy.  Colonel Burns’ Mansion is something folks have been talking about for a little while, so this is a good chance to grab it with a full character no less.

Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I already picked it up (almost instantly).  But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Here’s a look at his tasks…

Young Burns’s Permanent Tasks:

Task Length Earns Location
Turn Bad Early 1hr $105, 26xp Colonel Burns’ Mansion
Secretly  Run Power Plant 4hrs $260, 70xp Outside/Visual

Eat Ice Cream and Dodge Taxes 12hrs $600, 150xp Outside/Visual
Cuddle With Bobo 24hrs $1000, 225xp Colonel Burns’ Mansion

I’ll have the full dialogue of his questline up later on, but for now here’s the Turbo Tappin’ version of his very short questline…
