Wowza… Level 41 dropped from the sky. EA may have teased a new character but a whole level with other stuff is even better. Speaking of new stuff, you know that means it’s time yet again for more WDTCF goodness from Team Addicts. I thought we’d get the ball rollin with a two-fer and cover the Unfinished Shed and Chester Dupree.
For 150 donuts… you can buy the shed which comes with a new character with tasks. The shed itself provides a 2.25% bonus money and XP to all Jobs. But where do these come from? Well, EA wasn’t lying at all when they said a never before seen character was coming to the game but that doesn’t mean the origin doesn’t lie within the Best. Show. Ever. To find out where the wacky designers at EA came up withi this, we simply head on over to Season 24, Episode 4: “Gone Abie Gone”.
Right after the hilarious couch gag reminiscent of Hanna-Barbera’s Wacky Races, there’s a fast little scene you may have forgotten about or never seen. Homer’s driving and pulls in to the drive-thru at the Gulp ‘N’ Blow. An advertisement with a broccoli power-lifting heart reads “TRY OUR HEALTHY CHOICES”.
Homer: “Pushy sign. Don’t tell me what to try.”
Marge appears in thought bubble: “Homer. Dr. Hibbert told you to eat healthier.”
Homer: “I don’t recall that.”
Marge: “Well I do.”
Dr. Hibbert appears in a thought bubble from Marge: “Eat healthier.”
Bernice Hibbert appears in thought bubble from Dr. Hibbert: “You too, Julius. I heard you were at Loretta’s Diner on Catfish Friday.”
Julius: “How do you know that? You got your brother following me?”
Bernice: “Chester needs a job.”
Julius: “I paid him to build a shed. Where is my shed Bernice?”
Homer plugs Marge’s ears and says quietly to the drive-thru so as not to interrupt the marital argument: “One onion rings please.”
And there you go. Not even an image of the shed or Chester but they are certainly mentioned. My guess is the EA designers planned on adding Bernice Hibbert and wanted to find something else obscure that had to do with the Hibbert family. Instead of a quick blip of an image, we got a quick blip of dialogue. Pretty sweet to think they designed something completely unique for us. Anyone else have a feeling Chester might appear in Season 26? Only time will tell.

So we know more about Bernice’s brother Chester now because we play a silly mobile game which more and more feels like part of the show. We also know Mrs. Hibbert’s maiden name is quite possibly Dupree and that Hibbert’s shed is in some of our towns. I put mine behind Hibbert’s office.
