What a Wookiee Wants: More Krustyland Ideas

Advertisements

What do you call Chewbacca when he has chocolate stuck in his hair?

A Chocolate Chip Wookiee.

Sorry, had to share but does that make me a cheesey poof Wookiee?  Consider that as the world turns lol.  Anywho… I realized it had been a while since I did one of these WAWW posts and figured I’d use some of my extra photos from my latest sojourn to Krustyland in Hollywood to bring out some ideas.

As a theme park enthusiast and annual pass holder to several, Krustyland is one of my favorite parts about TSTO.  I enjoy designing my park but always find myself wanting more for it.  It should come as no surprise that I’ve done several posts with ideas for our game.  (Here’s the last one.)

The queue for The Simpsons Ride is ripe with all manner of things that are great ideas for the game.  Every time I visit, I try to find new things I haven’t discussed before.  So far I think I’ve been successful.  First up, signs.  There’s a ton you can see and here’s two I really liked this time.

I totally wish the balloons from Springfield could go in Krustyland.  We could all make some cool designs and that CBG poster just looks funny.  I think the designers could have some fun designing a sciency looking building that would house this with tasks for CBG and others.

Next up, the map.  If you’ve read previous posts, you know that a ton of what we have in game comes from the Krustyland map displayed on the ride.  Once you walk through Krusty’s mouth, it’s one of the first things you see.  Here’s what it looks like currently in Hollywood.  P.S. That girl with the awesome mohawk on the bottom right is my beautiful and cool as heck sister.

You can see more of the map and the list of rides on it here in my first WAWW post for Krustyland way back in the day.  I took some more pics of individual things on the map.  First up, what The Screamatorium of Dr. Frightmarestine might look like if it was brought into the game.

I’ve mentioned Captain Dinosaur’s Pirate Rip-Off before, but here’s what that awesome make-fun-of-Pirates of the Carribean-ride looks like on the map.

I also think the Tilt ‘N’ Spew ride looks swell.  Next up is a shot of the Krustyland Hotel and Duff Pavilion on the map but what I really want from this is that beer fountain and even more, the gondola lift attraction on the left which makes me miss the Disneyland Skyway.

Last image from the map is the Sea Captain’s Queasy-Time Lagoon Ride.  I’ve been wanting water in Krustyland since its inception and this would be better than nothing.

The last few images I drew inspiration from come from inside the ride right before you go on the motion simulator.  There’s a lot going on in this portion but I like to watch the TV Monitors for all the silly gags.

No idea what this would look like but it makes me excited thinking about it.  EA recently made never-before-seen stuff so why not this?  Next up something I thought we all could make ourselves. Just make an area with nothing but lines and you’ll probably have succeeded.

This last one is not a ride and probably not NPCs anyone wants but I felt I’d be remiss if I didn’t show the Punk Rock Grapefruit ad.  What exactly is dancing grapefruit experience?

Well, that raps up this edition of What a Wookiee Wants.  I’ll leave you with one last poster of something Krustyland already has.  I just think it’s neat that the name is a little different.

Y’all stay classy.  TTFN… Wookiee out!
