Hey hey tap ballers! In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where did THAT Come From?
So with the Tap Ball Event, all sorts of new stuff has appeared in our games. Our fifth Act II prize is Tennis Marge. Of course, long-term tappers know this is a skin that’s been in the files since October 2013 so I guess EA finally found a reason to add it in. I’m not complaining… it’s a cool addition and it let’s me write about a fun episode. Let’s check out the Best. Show. Ever. to find the origin of Tennis Marge AND the Tennis Court.
“Tennis the Mennace” (S12:E12)
I think the title says it all friends. An episode about Tennis. The Simpsons play tennis and not just anywhere, but on a court they have installed in their back yard. Homer went through a long drawn-out sales pitch to purchase funeral arrangements for his Dad just to buy a regulation tennis court courtesy of the salesman mentioning one. It makes the house look classy just like Sir Mel Brooks’ home and does wonders for their social life.
It may not be foxy boxing but apparently lots of folks in Springfield are in to tennis. Lenny, Carl, Brockman, Stephanie the weather girl, Wiggum, Lou, Burns, Smithers, Moe, Barney, Krusty, Sideshow Mel, the Hibberts and the Lovejoys.
Unfortunately Marge and Homer aren’t too good at tennis… well, Homer isn’t. People make fun of their lousiness instead of the game bringing the family a little respectability. Homer enters him and Marge into a doubles tournament but Marge decides to enter with Bart instead (he’s much better). Marge’s outfit for the tournament is what we got in TSTO.
So Bart and Marge bond and Homer is angry. Homer teams up with Lisa to enter the Krusty Kharity Klassic and it’d Daddy/Daughter vs. Mom/Spiky-Haired Devil. Homer and Venus Simpson are very good.
Yeah that’s right… Homer drops Lisa for Venus Williams. Marge takes Serena Williams to make it fair. When Marge is dumped for Pete Sanfras and Homer by Andre Agassi… the family decides to stop the nonsense. The Lesson? “It’s better to watch stuff than do stuff.”
So that’s it my friends. We have the option of adding tennis courts to the backyards of our Simpson homes for 30 donuts and Beautiful Tennis Marge finally in our games. What do you think of it all?
