Hey hey friends! In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where did THAT Come From?
Wowza… expansions, events, levels… EA has us all busy tapa-tapa-tapping away. Of course, with new levels comes new stuff to wonder just where the items come from. For this edition, we’ll take a look at one of the freemium buildings from Level 58… the Springfield Country Club. What does it have to do with the Best. Show. Ever.? When and where did it appear? Let’s find out!
“Once Upon a Time in Springfield” (S21:E10)
Oh Love. It finds lots of us and no surprise, the residents of Springfield are no exception… even Krusty. In this episode, Krusty’s ratings aren’t doing too well and the solution by “the network geniuses with the ink still drying on their M.B.A.s” is a new female co-star. Princess Penelope ends up a smash but our favorite cartoon clown isn’t too happy about being upstaged.
Krusty ends up as a sidekick and hits rock bottom. Once he gets out of the dumpster, he’s off to give Penelope a piece of his mind. Turns out though that she loves him and has since she was a 12 year-old-girl in Long Island. Romantical. Krusty’s show changes to a “schmoochey poo I Love You hour” but at least he’s happy.
The two are serious and it’s time to get married. Guess where they do it (the marriage part you sickos)?
Yay for the Springfield Country Club! Bart and Milhouse try to ruin the wedding and succeed after Krusty realizes he’s not good enough for Penelope. Even though she knows all about his past (mugshots, a bowling alley shoe spray addiction and country album), she’s the only woman he cares enough about to ditch at the altar. That’s be a sad ending if Krusty didn’t later track Penelope down in Paris, almost drown in the Seine, have his love jump in and drift away romantically with her past Notre Dame Cathedral.
So there you go friends… the appearance of one of the new freemium buildings from Level 58 with ties to Herschel Shmoikel Pinchas Yerucham Krustofski and Penelope Mountbatten Hapsburg Hohenzollern Mulan Pocahontas. What do you think about it? Did you expect it to have stronger ties to Springfield Heights? You probably got it confused with the Springfield Glen Country Club (lots of info in the golf course post).
