Where Did THAT Come From – Springfield Country Club

Hey hey friends! In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where did THAT Come From?

Springfield Country Club

Wowza… expansions, events, levels… EA has us all busy tapa-tapa-tapping away. Of course, with new levels comes new stuff to wonder just where the items come from.  For this edition, we’ll take a look at one of the freemium buildings from Level 58… the Springfield Country Club.  What does it have to do with the Best. Show. Ever.? When and where did it appear?  Let’s find out!

“Once Upon a Time in Springfield” (S21:E10)

Oh Love. It finds lots of us and no surprise, the residents of Springfield are no exception… even Krusty. In this episode, Krusty’s ratings aren’t doing too well and the solution by “the network geniuses with the ink still drying on their M.B.A.s” is a new female co-star. Princess Penelope ends up a smash but our favorite cartoon clown isn’t too happy about being upstaged.

Krusty ends up as a sidekick and hits rock bottom. Once he gets out of the dumpster, he’s off to give Penelope a piece of his mind. Turns out though that she loves him and has since she was a 12 year-old-girl in Long Island. Romantical. Krusty’s show changes to a “schmoochey poo I Love You hour” but at least he’s happy.

The two are serious and it’s time to get married. Guess where they do it (the marriage part you sickos)?

Yay for the Springfield Country Club! Bart and Milhouse try to ruin the wedding and succeed after Krusty realizes he’s not good enough for Penelope. Even though she knows all about his past (mugshots, a bowling alley shoe spray addiction and country album), she’s the only woman he cares enough about to ditch at the altar. That’s be a sad ending if Krusty didn’t later track Penelope down in Paris, almost drown in the Seine, have his love jump in and drift away romantically with her past Notre Dame Cathedral.

So there you go friends… the appearance of one of the new freemium buildings from Level 58 with ties to Herschel Shmoikel Pinchas Yerucham Krustofski and Penelope Mountbatten Hapsburg Hohenzollern Mulan Pocahontas. What do you think about it? Did you expect it to have stronger ties to Springfield Heights? You probably got it confused with the Springfield Glen Country Club (lots of info in the golf course post). Sound off in the comments and stay classy like usual.

TTFN… Wookiee out?

  1. Thanks for the run down! I thought this was the country club that Marge wore her infamous pink Chanel dress at repeatedly! I can’t help but admit I did like Princess Penelope’s version of Moon River she sang at the end of the episode in the Once Upon a Time in Springfield.. I know, I’m asking for mocking aren’t I! 😛

  2. is the halloween update around the corner?

  3. I’m pleased it’s not the Springfield Glen – I still have a fantasy (and I know it’ll never happen, but ho-hum) that they release the other country club, along with Mrs Vanderbilt and Admiral Carstairs. I can just picture their tasks now…

    Mrs. Vanderbilt
    • Buy Expensive Suits – 1 hour (Kwik-E-Mart)
    • Avoid Poor People – 4 hour (Springfield Glen Country Club)
    • Dine at Burns Manor – 8 hours (Burns Manor)
    • Call for an Upper Class Uprising – 12 hours (Springfield Glen Country Club, Visual)
    • Faint in Shock – 24 hours (Outside / Visual)

    Admiral Carstairs
    • Break Dance – 1 hour (Outside / Visual)
    • Forget he’s Retired – 4 hours (Outside / Visual)
    • Dine at Burns Manor – 8 hours (Burns Manor)
    • Remember the Good Old Days – 12 hours (Herman’s Military Antiques)
    • Drink Sherry – 24 hours (Springfield Glen Country Club)

I have a word document with all the obscure characters I’d like to see in future, and the tasks I’d like to see… And, when I say obscure, I’m talking about Cora, Mary Bailey, and Ms Albright… I’ve got too much time on my hands!!!

    • I think I want to be your friend :p
(not neighbor, my dance card is full)

I have a list of obscure characters I want to see and Mrs. Vanderbilt is toward the top of the list. If (when they add her) I’d hope the fainting task would be an Hour task not a 24 hour task. Also maybe hitch a ride with Mr. Monopoly task (yet being Mr. Monopoly I don’t know if they could do it)

  4. If my Walking Dead Trees theory is correct for THOH event than both the Mel Tree and Krusty Flower might be good skins for the event.

Might have to hold onto Rabbi K. Until Hanukkah/Christmas.
