THOH 2015 101: How To Earn Gummies in Act 2

Advertisements

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Act 2 is upon us and Springfield has gotten  bit more…risqué.  At least the adults have anyway.  Must be a full moon or too much candy.  Or maybe, as the game dialogue suggests, they’re really under a spell from the M’nthster…we’ll have to wait for Act 3 to find out what’s REALLY going on.

Anyway…as Act 1 changed into Act 2 so did the prize currency we’re supposed to collect.  We’ve now gone from earning S’mores in Act 1 to earning Gummies in Act 2.  So let’s take a look at all the ways we can earn those yummy gummies to unlock all of the Act 2 prizes….

REMEMBER: Act 2 Ends November 4th (0800GMT), so you must unlock all the Gummy Prizes by then or you’ll miss out on the chance to get them for free.

So what we know is you’ll need 9,282 total  to earn all 5 of the Act 2 prizes.  And thanks to Bunny’s Calendar, we know that you’ll need to earn a total of 663 /day to reach that goal.  So how do you go about earning those Gummies?  Let’s count the ways…

Nightmares

Just like in Act 1, each nightmare you tap and clear from you town will earn you prize AND Crafting currency.  So you’ll still earn 1 Gummy for every nightmare in your town you tap.

Remember…it’s only nightmares in YOUR town you tap that will earn you Gummies.  If you tap them in a neighbor’s town you will not earn Gummies, only crafting currency (and only for the first 90 actions).

In this event Neighbor actions pay you ZERO in Prize Currency (in this cause Gummies).  They only pay out crafting currency (Brains, Eggs, Ears & Bones)

So nightmares= 1 Gummie each.

(Remember the max you can have in your town at once is 20, with a reserve of 40 that will build up (that you won’t see) that will start appearing once those 20 are cleared out)

Kids at the Campfire

Sadly sending kids to Roast S’mores at the Campfire no longer earns Gummies directly once you start up Act 2.  BUT it’s still 100% worth it to send kids to the campfire to Roast S’mores because that task will earn you Gummies indirectly. You will spawn nightmares each time you have the kids complete the Roast S’mores Task.  And remember, for each nightmare you tap you’ll get 1 gummy.  So it’s still 100% worth it to send the kids to the campfire…

Here’s the list of how many Nightmares each kid will spawn via the Roast S’mores Task at the campfire:

Lisa- 2 nightmares
Michael D’Amico- 2 nightmares
Janey- 2 nightmares
Database- 2 nightmares
Jessica Lovejoy- 4 nightmares
Hugo- 2 nightmares
Jimbo- 4 nightmares
Kearney- 4 nightmares
Rod- 2 nightmares
Shauna- 4 nightmares
Sherri and Terri- 8 nightmares
Squeaky Voiced Teen- 4 nightmares
Todd- 2 nightmares
Gino- 4 nightmares
Nelson- 2 nightmares
Dolph- 2 nightmares
Laura Powers- 4 nightmares
Greta- 4 nightmares
Martin- 2 nightmares
Uter- 4 nightmares
Milhouse- 2 nightmares
Ralph- 2 nightmares
Bart- 2 nightmares

That’s a lot of extra gummies you can earn by sending the kids to Roast S’mores!

Daily Play Combo

You can earn bonus Gummies just for logging into your game every day.  Each week you can get a total of 700 bonus gummies!  Pretty sweet!

Quest Completions

For the Act 2 questline, you’ll earn 100  for each part of the questline you complete, more details on our Turbo Tappin’ Post.  That’s 900  just for doing what you’re supposed to do anyway 🙂

Adults

In Act 2 it seems that the Adults just wanna have fun!  Risqué fun.  But fun nonetheless.  So while the kids earning Gummies at the Campfire are now out…the Adults can now earn them doing their “adult” things.

Once you unlock Everscream Terrors, Moe’s Terror, Kill-E-Mart & Krusty Murder you’ll unlock special actions for various Adults to earn Gummies at each location.  (To learn how to unlock these Facades check out the Turbo Tappin’ post for Act 2.  They will each unlock via the questline) It’s not a ton of Adults that can do the actions, but the payout is might higher/person than the kids at the campfire.  AND you don’t need to be a super high level, or have loads or premium characters, to earn them.  Let’s take a look…

Everscream Terrors

8hr task.  “Gather at the Simpson House”
Homer- Earns 24
Marge/Witch Marge- Marge Earns 24  Witch Marge Earns 36  (if you have Witch Marge it will automatically default to her)
Grampa- Earns 24
Luann- Earns 48
Kirk- Earns 24

Gummy Rate: 3/hr Freemium.  6 /Luann.  4.5 /hr Witch Marge

As you can see you’ll only be able to send 5 characters to Gather here, but the pay out is pretty high for each.
Also, there’s only 1 premium requirement and that’s Luann.  Everyone else can be earned as a Freemium player.  And Kirk is the highest level, he unlocks at Level 37.

Moe’s Terror

2hr Task.  “Unwind with Wine”
WIllie- earns 6
Sea Captain- 6
Lenny-
Homer- 6
Carl-

Gummy Rate: 3/hr

Again, you can only send 5 characters…really 4 if you exclude Homer, but you’ll earn a decent rate for sending them.  Plus most of the characters are unlocked at Lower Levels.  The highest on this is Lenny & Carl, who are BOTH unlocked at Level 27.  And there’s no premium characters needed on this one…

Krusty Murder

1hr Task.  “Play with Food”
Skinner-
Comic Book Guy-
Wiggum-
Quimby-
Homer- 3
Gummy Rate: 3/hr

Another one where there are 5 characters that can go…4 if you take away Homer…but you’ll earn a decent rate for sending them.  The great thing is ALL of these characters are unlocked at low levels.  The highest here is Quimby, who’s unlocked at Level 21 .  And no premium characters needed for this one…

And finally…

Kill-E-Mart

4hr Task.  “Have Fun with Cameras”
Homer- 12
Cletus- 12
Krusty- 12
Comic Book Guy- 12
Marge/Witch Marge- Marge Earns 12 / Witch Marge Earns 18  (if you have Witch Marge it will automatically default to her)
Gummy Rate: 3/hr.  4.5 /hr Witch Marge

The Kill-E-Mart is one where just about everyone should be able to send all of hte characters.  The highest unlocked here is Marge, and she’s at Level 15.  The downside is both Homer and Marge have tasks here, so if you send them somewhere else (Simpson House for Marge, anywhere for Homer) you’ll only have 3 characters to send.

And that my friends covers all of the Gummy earning ways of Act 2!  Remember to stay on pace with Bunny’s Calendar and collect all of the prizes before Act 2 ends, you’ll need to earn 663 /day until Act 2 ends on November 4th (so basically 663 until November 3rd…since it’ll change over early morning on the 4th).

What are your thoughts on the Gummy earning tasks of Act 2?  Excited to see the adults get in on the action, especially if you don’t have a ton of kids?  Do you think you’ll have an easier time with the Act 2 prizes than the Act 1 prizes?  Which prizes have you earned so far?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!
