Where Did THAT Come From: Notre Dame Of Springfield

In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. That is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where did THAT Come From?

The cool looking building Notre Dame of Springfield appeared during the end of our Casino 2016 Event in the form of a hybrid Easter/St. Patrick’s Day Mini release.

This post I will be going over the Origin of the Notre Dame of SpringfieldWhy is it in our games? What does he have to do with Springfield? What does it have to do with St. Patricks/Easter? Let’s dive into the Simpsons TV Series to find out more.

Husbands and Knives: Season 19, Episode 7
Marge, tired of the trendy looks and feeling out of place at LA Body Works, decided to create her own style of gym for the everyday women. SHAPES. As her business started to grow and blossom, Homer found himself increasingly getting worried that Marge would leave him. He resorts to the only thing he knows, a completely ridiculous idea. Staple his stomach.

It seems to be working, but now he feels guilty about all his sagging skin falling off his now slimmer body. He goes back to the surgeon to get one of every operation possible. He shows up to an Event being held to honor Marge to show off his new “Sexy” body. The crowd is in disgust, grabs their pitchforks and torches, and starts chanting “Monster. Monster. Monster.”

Homer grabs a hold of Marge and runs from the crowd… right into the only place a Monster hauling a dame would go, right? Notre Dame of Springfield.

He climbs the winding staircase to the upper most tower to try and avoid the angry mob outside. There Marge tells Homer that she is WAY too successful to have to keep Homer around and that she is going to get a Trophy Husband instead. Homer is saddened by this and makes his way to the ledge, where Marge pushes him off… hurling him to the crowd below.

There you have it, a cool looking building in the TV Series that had a few seconds part in the show and now is a permanent fixture in our silly lil games.

Do you remember how the episode ended? What did you think of Groundskeeper Seamus & the Notre Dame Combo? Did you splurge and pick them up? If so, what do you think of the Building? Let us know.
