Where Did THAT Come From – Go-Kart Track & Half-Pipe

Advertisements

In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where did THAT Come From?

Wowza… the Springfield Games hit our towns and its one interesting event fusing different things. Basically it’s a parody of the Olympics without paying any money to the IOC because the desginers did their own thing. This round of origins will go over the Go-Kart Track (the 5th Event Prize) and the Half-Pipe, a premium offering for 100 donuts. What do they have to do with the Best. Show. Ever. and where did they appear? It’s days like these I’m happy to delve into the TV Series to show you.

First up, the Go-Kart Track. In “Bart the Mother” (S10:E3), our favorite family heads to the Family Fun Center as a big, big reward for being included in a scam to get Marge to pay for handsome volumes of pictures. Scam aside, Marge is happy her kids were selected among the “who’s who of American elementary students” even if they pick all the child or children. The first thing the family does is go on the Go Karts.

Watching Marge drive slow on the track is funny. Even funnier, Nelson telling her to “Cram it Ma’am.” The center also has batting cages and an arcade (Yes! A Maggie-oop!).

But enough about rude bullies, winning mustache combs, and BB Guns, let’s go looking for the Half-pipe. It comes to us by way of “Barthood” (S27:E9). I won’t bore you with a ton of words about this episode (I did that one when I wrote an entire recap of this episode here) but I do have to point out that I picked this image as one of my guesses for what the post-Superheroes hints by EA meant. This half-pipe comes to us by way of the Duff Extreme BMX Vert Competition. Seems EA liked this as much as me.

Also cool that they added it without any awkward mention of Bart being older in the episode. So there you go friends… the origins for two of the new items brought to us by Springfield Games. What do you think of them? Close to earning the Go-Kart Track? Did you splurge to get vertical in your towns? Sound off in the comments and I hope your tapping is as extreme as you want it to be.

TTFN… Wookiee out!
