Sci-Fi Springfield 101: Crafting Prize Breakdown

Advertisements

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The nerds have invaded Springfield!  Ok just one nerd, and he’s not all that bad.  And only in Springfield can Professor Frink, with the help of Homer, open up a black hole that transports doppelgangers, robots and Stephen Hawking (!) to our pocket sized Springfields!

Love it or hate it, EA has proven over the last year + that crafting is here to stay.  While the prizes themselves are pretty self explanatory, collect this to earn these prizes, crafting is a whole other “animal”.  Crafting requires some self direction.  You decide what you want and collect the items to craft accordingly.  Sometimes this is successful and sometimes it’s not. And, as with all things, for some events crafting is easier than others.  This event is a combination of a few different techniques we’ve seen in the past (Leveling Up (Casino Event) and 1 Item for Crafting (Superheroes 2) and adds some new dimensions (Future Bucks).

Earlier in Act 1 I broke down how to craft, the details about Future Bucks, Robot Parts, Demos and more.  You can view that post here, especially if you’re confused about Future Bucks.  Now it’s time to break down all of the crafting prizes.  What each does, how many you can get, size and more.  So let’s get to the long awaited crafting prize post….

500 for 50.

Now here’s the common question many of you will be asking…What Should I Craft?

Here’s the deal…craft what you like/what you want.  You don’t have to max Demos out, if you don’t want to.  Figure out what you could/would use in your Springfield…but if there’s something you don’t want, don’t craft it.  What works for some, won’t work for everyone.

With this event there are a TON of awesome items available for crafting.  You really can’t go wrong with any of the items…especially if you’re making a multiverse/future area of your town.  So decide what you like and go from there.  Personally, I’ll be grabbing just about everything…especially the buildings.  It’s great that the buildings all have tasks at them.  Definitely worth picking those up.

So have fun, get creative and grab what works for you! 🙂  And remember…crafting is open for the ENTIRE event.  So there’s no rush to craft anything.  Take your time, collect your currency and plan out what you’d like to do.

And that’s it…the full breakdown of each crafting prize available for the Sci-Fi Event!

What are your thoughts on the crafting items?  Which items do you have your eye on?  Any you’ve crafted so far?  Plans for the items?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!
