In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where did THAT Come From?
By Hawking’s chair and wowza! Act Three of the 2016 TSTO SciFi Event hasarrived and once again there’s even more new stuff to add to Stephen Hawking, black holes, multidimensional visitors, and lots of sciencey futuristic stuff to figure out where to put in our games. A lot of this new stuff might have you wondering just where the heck it all comes from. Well no fears inter-quantum dimensional guys and gals, that’s where this walking carpet earns his bread and butter (seriously, that’s all I’m paid in lol). For this dimension of origin stories, we’ll be looking at:
Mech Robot – 1st Act Three Prize for 2,750 anti matter
Bioluminescent Flowers – Level 8 craftable
We leave the safe atmospheric confines of Earth for this round of origins and head of to “Treehouse of Horror XXII” (S23:E3) and the “In the Na’vi” segment. Once upon a time on Halloween 2013, I posted a whole recap about this segment as one of my favorite Halloween moments. Woohoo! Welcome to Rigel VII. A planet that is being mined for hilarium (a much better name than unobtanium) which Krusty needs to make his audiences laugh, especially the Nazis. We see the mech robot right towards the beginning as Super Nintendo Chalmers is briefing the new arrivals to the location with “extreme temperatures and vicious indigenous life forms.”
Bart plays the Jake Sully character. No surprise, some of the colonists have their consciousness sent over to avatars. Of course, since this is Rigel VII, the avatars are Rigellians.
Bring on more parody of the James Cameron movie. When Bart meets Kamala, Milhouse is seen among the bioluminescent flowers. “Even when we’re monsters he gets the girl.” Poor Milly.
Even worse, he kicks a rock and every part of the planet is alive. As he pulls flowers to apologize, Milhouse just makes it worse. The flowers are the Rigellian’s brothers. I won’t even mention what Milhouse does to Uncle Tree.
Just like the long movie that created a potentially unbreakable worldwide box office record, everything on the planet is bioluminescent.
Bart ends up impregnanting Kamala and discovers the location of the hilarium. It’s secreted by the Rigellian Queen and keeps the preggo Rigellians from being cranky.
Milhouse calls in the location and the colonizers are off to steal the precious resource. Lots and lots of mech suits appear as the creatures of Rigel 7 battle to protect the planet. These mech robots have the gun and ammo chain we see in TSTO.
Chalmers calls the mechanic battle bot a servo suit so we could go with that name too if we want.
Although we never see Bart in the servo suit, this is its origin. So there you go friends, the origins of the bioluminescent flowers and the mech robot/servo suit. The designers over at EA must like this segment as much as me since we saw a bunch from it during Halloween 2014 and even got the jet from it in Superheroes 2016. What’s your opinion of the new items? I’m really digging the flowers (get it, digging?) Did you earn the prize yet? Sound off in the comments and good luck tapping in the event horizon.
TTFN… Wookiee out!
