Should I Spend Donuts on President Reagan and the Re-Education Center?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s nearly 4th of July in Springfield, and that means it’s once again time for the hole in time and space to be ripped open and a new President to appear in town!  In the past, we’ve had Presidents from the 1700s, 1800s, early-mid 1900s appear…this time around we don’t have to flashback to far in the past.  As the President of the 1980s joins our Springfield’s…Ronald Reagan.

Of course with that limited-time label, it can be tempting to grab this past president because he’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add President Reagan and his Re-Education Center to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Jellybean loving President to your town…

Character: President Ronald W. Reagan
Building/Decoration: Re-Education Center
Donut Cost: 165 Donuts
Earns: $150, 13xp/8hrs
Size:
16×16
Conform-O-Meter:
Obedience +5
Other Info:
Can be placed on the grass|ocean (yes this can go directly into the Ocean…game changer IMO)

Leaves stores July 11th

Pros
-Can go directly in the ocean, great if you’re short on space in Springfield (plus the ocean is where it belongs)
-Another President for Springfield
-Will use the Re-Education Center for tasks (if it’s on the grass)
-Re-Education Center has a great animation when in use, lights on, birds fly and an inmate jumps off the island.

Cons
-Not voiced
-Outdoor tasks are a little lackluster
-If the Re-Education Center is placed in the Ocean it won’t be used for tasks.  Instead, Reagan will use the Squidport Entrance for tasks.
-Pricey combo.

Final Thought
Premium:
I like this combo.  Then again I like ALL the Presidential combos that have hit this game. I love that the Re-Education Center can go in the ocean, without needing boardwalk tiles.  His animations are a little “meh”, but overall I like the combo.

Freemium:
I’d pass.  You’re better off spending your donuts on the Mystery Box and getting another president for less donuts.  (plus he’ll likely come back next year for less…)

Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as I premium player I can tell I picked him up immediately.   But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before he leaves our games for good (or for now).

Here’s a look at his tasks…
