Tappers 101- Back to Basics: What to Do When the Servers Are Down

Advertisements

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Back with another Tappers 101 Class, this time we’re talking about what to do when see, every TSTO Addict’s nightmare, Bart pulling your game and the inability to connect to the servers.  This is something that’s been popping up more and more lately with the introduction of the larger holiday updates, and way back when Addicts first started I covered this topic and some tips to help you manage if happens to you.  You can read the full detailed post here.  Here’s the Tappers 101 verison:
Usually when you first see Bart appear panic sets in, and you start to think ‘Ahhh, What happened?’ ‘What did I do?’  ’What can I do?’  ’WHERE DID MY SPRINGFIELD GO?!’ ‘WHY YOU LITTLE…’

Well first of all…R-E-L-A-X.  There’s nothing you can do.  So, don’t panic.  Just wait and be patient.  It’s a problem with the servers, and they’ll come back up again they always do (usually within a couple of hours).  And I promise you…your Springfield will still be there when they come back up.  I know it’s hard for us Addicts, but TRY to find something else to do until the servers come back up.

Curious if there’s something you can do to check the server status?  Check out our original post for some proactive things you can do to check the server status.

Still going through TSTO Withdrawals?  Check our our TSTO Addicts Forums, where you can communicate with other TSTO Addicts about the server problems, the game or just life in general!  Still searching for something to fill the TSTO void?  Check out the latest meeting of TSTO Anonymous, for a humorous outtake on our addition to Tapped Out!

From time to time Tappers new and old can get caught up in the game and forget some of the basics, that can cause a delay in your game.  While we have a full New Tappers Guide on Addicts, sometimes you just want the information at your fingertips right away so you can get back to tapping as quickly as possible.  Keeping that in mind, we’ve started a new biweekly column for the “quick hit” information Tappers need to keep the game moving.  Here’s where you can find all of our tips and tricks to help your game move along smoothly.

Most of the topics covered will be from your questions in the comments, so you have something you’d like us to cover in Tappers 101 please feel free to leave it for us in the comments below.
