Simple Town Designs: Cletus’ Farm

Advertisements

Hey there Hoppereenos. Just bouncing in for a few simple ideas of things to do with your town to add a lil design element to them. These are all just a basic “idea” pool. What you actually end up putting into your town is completely up to you.

For this Simple Town Design, I wanted to show a few ideas that I have used for Cletus’ Farm as well as my neighbors.

When you think of a farm, a few items come to mind. Harvest, produce, and animals. Among other things. Here is a basic way to create a farm to look like Cletus’ has a few things growing and blooming, other than Brandine.

All you really need to do is decide just WHAT kind of farm you want. For an example, if you want trees, you can use basic trees in the different shades of green. Or if you have the inventory and/or donuts, you can also make a fruit tree farm. (Even those Valentine Day Trees look a bit like apple trees.) Just decide how big of an area you want to cover and how many trees. Then just place them in lil rows leaving a lil space between each one.

When done, place a fence around the area. I used the Boardwalk Fence as it resembles the fence at Cletus’ closely. I face them out away from the trees all the way around so I can put as many as I can inbetween the two sides.

If you want something that may resemble a few fruits and veggies, just use the different hedges and bushes. Using the same concept as the trees, just start forming groups of one kind.

You can give it a lil extra touch by making a “garden box” out of white or wooden picket fences. Again, face them out all the way around to allow you to be able to fill them with as many items as you can right up to the edges.

Here is one that mixes a lil of everything all in one.

Here is one I did a while back that had a lot of random items tucked into it. Zoomed out, it looked pretty cool.

Here is another mixed farm. (The pumpkin patches work well.)

This is one of my neighbors farms, daisyjail.

If you want a more “floral” looking farm, you can also use this type of design on the farm that I used to add character to Howard’s Flowers if you didn’t get to purchase Howard’s.

So there you have it. Simple Town Design for a farm. What do you think? Do you have a cool farm you want to show off? Feel free to post it to the comments below or our Flickr page. I love to see what YOU do.

Until Next Time…
