Should I Spend Donuts on the Magic Monorail Station?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Well looks like the Season Premiere tie-in may be doing a little magical teasing for the upcoming Halloween Event! EA dropped a Magical Monorail station in our games, in an apparent attempt to give us a little Halloween teaser…and, of course, to get us to drop some sprinkles!

Of course with that limited-time label, it can be tempting to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Magic Station to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Magical platform to your town…

Building/Decoration: Magic Monorail Station
Donut Cost: 80 Donuts
Earns: $200, 22xp/8hrs
Size:
 8×12
Conform-O-Meter:
Consumerism +10

Leaves stores October 2nd

Pros
-Another Monorail Station for Springfield
-Comes with more track (including straight pieces)
-Comes with short dialogue/quest

Cons
-Does not come with additional pieces (no platform/stairs), visually it’s as is.
-Pricey for just a Monorail Station, especially if you already have several

Note: I didn’t indicate anything on here as to if this will be helpful for the next event…because no one (Except EA) knows. We can speculate, but you’re purely taking a chance if you think it’ll help.

Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
Many of you will grab this “just because it’s Harry Potter like”, and that’s ok.  You buy items/design your Springfield in a way that makes you happy and that you like.  So if you’re thinking about getting it because of that reason, go ahead and grab it.
But let’s not kid ourselves…it’s another Monorail Station for 80 donuts.  If you already have several and don’t need another one pass. (I still have 2 stations in my inventory I can’t figure out how to fit into my Springfield)
This will NOT be a requirement for the next event (if it’s even helpful for it at all).  EA wouldn’t make a premium item a requirement for an event.  At most this will help you earn event currency, at least it’ll just be something for Springfield to look cool. So try not to get too far ahead of yourself on this one.  If you like it, get it.  Otherwise, pass. This applies to both Premium and Freemium players.

Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as I premium player I can tell you I’ll likely pass on this one. As I said above I still have two Monorails in my inventory I can’t quite figure out how to use.  Plus, I’m not the biggest “pott-head” (as Wookiee calls them).  But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Here’s a look at the dialogue/tasks it comes with:

The Young Adult Station
Lisa starts

Lisa: Where did that monorail station come from?
Homer: My tax dollars wasted on another bloated city project destined for failure.
Lisa: No way. It looks too classy to be a Springfield city project. And by classy, I mean disturbingly British.  It reminds me of one of the many YA trilogies I’ve read, or it reminds me of all of them.
Make Lisa Go Through Her Book Collection- 4hrs, Earns $175, 45xp
Make Springfielders Ride the New Novelty Station- x3. 4hrs, Earns $175, 45xp Freemium and $260, 70xp Premium

What are your thoughts on the Magic Station?  Will you be spending the donuts to bring it to your Springfield? Did you already?  Why or why not? Where have you placed it in your Springfield? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!
