Into the Simpsonsverse Act 1 is Live! The Rundown and What You Need To Know

Advertisements

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Who’s ready to take a trip into the multi-verse?!  Get ready for the many Homer, and other Simpson, doppelgangers to invade our Springfields through the multi-verse portal in the latest multi-event to hit our Springfield’s…Into the Simpsonsverse!  As always, loads of dialogue with this one, so be sure to read along to see what happens! And of course, I’ll be posting it as each week wraps up…

Once again we see another multi-event in Springfield.  So love them, or hate them, they’re still here.  So let’s all try to make the best of this…

Anywho….things kick off with a series of 6s tasks for Burns and Smithers.

After you’ve completed the initial task you’ll kick off the Simpsonsverse Event!

First, remember this was an app store update available for download.  So if you haven’t already done so, and you don’t see the Splash Screen above for your game, head to your app store and update TSTO.  You may have to search the store for Tapped Out, as it doesn’t always appear on the update list initially…

Second, if you’re looking for details on what’s to come (beyond this first Act), so you can prep donuts, etc..check out the Spoilers post here.

Third, ALL of the details, as we post them, for this event will be linked on the Into the Simpsonsverse Event Page here.

Now on with the details for Act 1!

Here’s EA’s event synopsis:

In an effort to improve the power plant’s profits, Mr. Burns decides to turn on his Alternate Universe Computer to start bringing in cheap, undocumented labor. Things are going great until the newly hired help flees the terrible working conditions, and Mr. Burns has no choice but to bring in a detective from the same portal to bring them back.

The Alternate Universe Computer soon destabilizes, though, and starts opening up portals to the Simpsons multi-verse, not only bringing in Homers of every shape and size, but also Evil Godmother Burns who’s got her sights set on total multi-verse domination!

It’s now up to the merry band of multi-verse Homers to team up and put a stop to the godmother.

We should all know by now unless of course, you’re new to TSTO that the prizes for this event follow the same questline format to unlock as our regular mini-events do.

Just like every large event recently, this is not your typical Major Event.  And there are pros and cons to that, and everyone will find their own pros and cons.  And some people’s pro will be someone else’s con.

As always, I just ask that you have an open mind, and reserve judgment until we’re into the event.  It’s 5 weeks long, it should be fairly easy to complete, you’ll unlock a bunch of new prizes and no crafting to grind through,  so let’s just have some good old-fashioned TSTO fun! And, as long as you don’t rush things, you won’t get bored because it’ll change each week!

Here’s the event schedule:

Act 1 Starts August 4th (WEDNESDAY)
Act 2 Starts August 13th (FRIDAY)

Act 3 Starts August 22nd (SUNDAY)
Act 4 Starts August 31st (TUESDAY)

Event Ends September 8th, 2021 (WEDNESDAY)

As I stated above, the initial quests are 6s.   Once completed you’ll start the From the Red to the Black (and White) questline, which is the Act 1 story to follow.  This is how you’ll unlock the Act 1 prizes.

Note: Some of you have mentioned you are having trouble getting the event to start.  You need to download the latest update and the requirements for this are: Level 11 and you MUST have Burns unlocked.  It won’t trigger without those two.

Reading the Room

Blue Haired Lawyer: As you can see here, Mr. Burns, your power plant is in the red.
Burns: Cancel Disney+! I don’t know why I ever subscribed — my only streaming device is a ticker tape machine. The image resolution is decidedly meh, and every time I watch a movie I’m crushed beneath a mountain of paper!
Blue Haired Lawyer: We agree that cancelling Disney+ is a prudent way to save eight dollars per month, but the plant will still be many, many millions of dollars in the red.
Burns: We can pay our other bills with BiteCoin.
Smithers: I didn’t know you dabbled in cryptocurrency, sir.
Burns: In what now? I mean: set the hounds on the bill collectors.
Smithers: Ah, I see. BITE Coin. I’m sure they’d be able to evade them quite easily.
Burns: Are you saying they have some sort of dodge-coin? Perhaps if we used some kind of tether…
Smithers: Maybe we should look at some other strategies for improving worker productivity, sir.
Burns: You’re right! The greedy workers are the problem. Let’s move the plant somewhere where we’ll be given a free hand by a corrupt government and a gullible population manipulated by appeals to prejudice.
Smithers: We already did that, sir. That’s why we moved here from North Korea.
Burns: When you’re treating your workers even worse than the commies, you know you’ve done your part!
Smithers: Since we’ve maxed-out oppression, maybe we could try to toggle a few other levers, sir. Such as worker satisfaction and motivation.
Burns: Ew, gross. You said toggle.
Smithers: If we want to compete for today’s values-driven workforce…
Burns: Smithers, learn to read the room, will you? Now, quickly, to the basement! I’ve got just the thing to solve our financial problems.

And this triggers the entire story premise for each act…

(and yes, just like I did for the past multi-events, I’ll be posting full dialogue for this one before the next act starts)

Now let’s talk about what’s included…

Here’s the Act 1 Synopsis from EA:

The 1930’s workers are all too happy to find work in the modern day, but quickly realize the working conditions at the power plant are horrible and decide to flee. Recognizing he cannot go to the police, Mr. Burns instead opts to bring in a private detective from the 1930s, Noir Homer, to hunt down his missing employees.

Noir Homer teams up with Homer, the last person to see said employees, and the two track them down at the local church. Before Noir Homer brings them back to the plant, however, they spill the beans about the haphazard working conditions there. After hearing them out, Noir Homer decides that the portal is too dangerous to remain open, and heads back to reverse the portal and suck everyone back into their home universe.

This backfires, however, and instead of reversing the portal, Noir Homer accidentally opens a new portal to the ______ Universe.

DO NOT FORGET TO SCROLL UP AND DOWN IN THE TASK BOXES (PICTURED ABOVE) TO BE SURE TO COMPLETE ALL TASKS FOR EACH PART.
