Tapped Out Halloween Walkthroughs: The 5th and 6th GOO Prizes, UFO’s and Ultrahouses…Unlocking KANG and KODOS

Advertisements

Hey howdy hey GOO Collectors!

Now if you’re wondering how to unlock Kodos and Kang (if you didn’t get him last year) then this post is for you!

Back with the next two prizes in the Personal Prize collection, you can read about the Ancient Burial Ground & Pumpkin house here, the Vac-U-Bot here & Zombie here.  The next two prizes are achieved at the 3,000 GOO (Victorian UFO) collection mark and the 4,000 GOO (Ultrahouse) collection mark.

First up, at 3,000 GOO is the Victorian UFO:
Once you reach 3,000 GOO in your town the Victorian UFO will automatically unlock and be stored in your inventory:

In order to place it you’ll need to go into your inventory and grab it.  However, once it’s in your inventory it’s there, so if you don’t get a chance to remove it before the event ends it will still be there!

While there’s no real task using this item it’s still a pretty neat (free) addition to your town!  It also comes with something pretty cool….if you missed out on getting Kang during last year’s Halloween event EA has decided to bring him back this year for…wait for it…FREE!  That’s right Tappers, when you unlock the Victorian UFO you’ll also unlock Kang!  (of course if you already have him in your town nothing will happen when you place the UFO)

Last year Kang was a premium character costing a whopping 150 donuts (later reduced to 100 donuts) and once Halloween was over he was gone!  Despite being a FREE character Kang will still earn at a premium rate (50% more cash and XP on tasks)!  What another great treat from EA!  Kang also comes with the same questline (We Come in Pieces) from last year and we’ll have a walkthrough on that up a little later on, but what a great treat!

Now onto the 6th prize…

At 4,000 GOO the Ultrahouse 2:

Once you reach 4,000 GOO in your town the Ultrahouse 2 will automatically unlock and be stored in your inventory:

In order to place it you’ll need to go into your inventory and grab it.  However, once it’s in your inventory it’s there, so if you don’t get a chance to remove it before the event ends it will still be there!  But there’s an incentive to pulling it out of your inventory quickly…and we’ll get to that in a minute.  But first let’s talk about what happens when you place the Ultrahouse 2…

A mini quest will auto start as soon as you place the Ultrahouse 2.  Frink will get the auto-started dialogue:

Ultrahouse 2:
Auto-starts

Frink:
Welcome to the latest in modern dwellings from Frinklin Homes, the Ultrahouse 2.
Homer: Forget it.  Last time we brought an Ultrahouse, it fell in love with my wife and tried to murder me.  And it kept recording over my shows.
Frink: This Ultrahouse has been completely reprogrammed.  I can assure you, it has zero interest in women.

Ultrahouse 2: Hello, Homer.  My you’re an adorable chubby.  How’d you like to have a drink with me?
Marge: The Ultrahouse 2 is gay?!
Homer: Now Marge, be tolerant.  If an alternatively-oriented robotic dwelling wants to show me a good time, I say let it-him.
Make Homer Share a Romantic Evening with the Ultrahouse 2- 24hrs (sorry no GOO reward for this task)
Bart: So how’d your date with the Ultrahouse go, Dad?
Homer: Nice, but then he proposed a criss-cross where he murders Marge for me and I kill a bisexual garage in Shelbyville for him.
Bart: Pfft. Men.

And with that the Ultrahouse 2 mini-quest is complete!  But now here’s where the quick placement from inventory comes in…

Once you’ve completed the Ultrahouse 2 mini-quest some new dialogue will auto-start with Cletus (Note this is how you unlock the ability to purchase Kodos):

Cletus:
I reckon it’s a hillbilly’s job to point out the alien craft menacing our skies?
Frink: I have positively identified this flying object as an unidentifiable flying object.  We must construct the Frink Ray Gun Immediately!

Kodos: I’m not concerned.  Humans are known throughout the galaxy for being too cheap to spend donuts on ray guns. (ooo a little dig from EA.  Perhaps to taunt us into spending donuts?)
A Message will then pop up:

You can buy a Ray Gun from the Store and startle Kodos out of his complacency.

The Ray Gun costs 150 donuts (yikes!) and awards 3.75% bonus on money & XP for all tasks, plus it gives you Kodos.

We’ll get into the finer details of the Ray Gun and shooting down Kodos shortly in that Walkthrough…but for now this completes your Ultrahouse 2 dialogue.

So now that you know about the UFO, Ultrahouse 2, Kang & Kodos….get back to tapping GOO so you can add them to your town!
