Where Did THAT Come From – New/Old Superheroes Stuff

Faster than an event speeding donut spender! More powerful than a local Addict! Able to leap long comment threads in a single bound! Look! Up in the TSTO-niverse! It’s a building! It’s a decoration! It’s Superheroes 2016!

In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where did THAT Come From?

So unless you’ve been locked away in Lucite, by now you probably realize a new event has splashed all over the screens of our beloved game. New events come with new and olds stuff and that means I have the pleasure of re-watching episodes for my favorite tappers. Of course, sometimes new stuff has already been covered throughly since there’s only so many places certain types of stuff can come from.  For this issue of WDTCF, I decided to link to previously written origin posts since looking back at them, they were done well and cover the new items.  There’s also some returning stuff towards the end of the post.

In the case of Springfield Books (2,410 Trading Cards), The Collector Lucite Statue (785 Trading Cards), The Collector’s Car (965 Trading Cards), and the Lucite Container ( 325 Trading Cards), it’s probably no surprise that they all come from the same episode as The Collector. Here’s the post detailing the segment from “Treehouse of Horror X” (S11:E4).  Yes, all the craftables from Act One are from one episode which happens to be one of my favorites.

For the Pie Man Epic Statue (7th Social Battle Prize), it’s actually sort of unique but is completely based on the episode which highlighted Homer as Pie Man. Bunny did a great post which pre-dated the first Superheroes Event (Feb 2015) by almost a year.  Here’s her look at “Simple Simpson” (S15:E19). The image at the end of that post is what was used for the pose of the statue.  Dang it, now I want pie AND the Cupcake Kid AND cupcakes.

Funny that Bunny was on the money of something that came later like sweet, sweet honey.  Poetry aside, Act One so far has also brought back other items we already wrote about:

Clownface

Fruitbat Man & his Signal

The National Bank of Springfield

Just click on the links if those interest you. There’s actually a few more origins for stuff that hasn’t arrived in the Superheroes Sequel yet if you’re interested. Here’s the link to all of the WDTCFs for Superheroes 2015.  Just scroll down to the Where Did THAT Come From section.  Hint, a lot of upcoming stuff comes from the same episodes.

So there you go friends.  Some origins for new and returning stuff.  What do you think of it all?  I’m hoping to get all the new Collector stuff for sure.  Happy to see the return of Pie Man and Clownface for free? Sound off in the comments and stay classy super friends!
