Should I Spend Donuts on the Duff Party Liner?

Advertisements

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Level 41 is here (woohoo!) and with it comes the Duff Party Liner, an all new premium decoration for your water.  Now, as with all new premium content you may be asking “Should I Spend Donuts On THIS?”  Well before you hit that confirm button, lets break down the Pros and Cons of adding this floating party your Springfield!

Decoration: Duff Party Liner
Donut Price: 100 donuts
Unique?: Yes, only 1 allowed in your town.
Bonus: 2.75% (bonus cash and XP to all tasks)
Bonus % Per Donut Spent: 0.03%
Conform-o-Meter Points: Vanity +750
Where Can I Place It?: Water only.

Pros:
-Another boat for your water, 1 less thing to take up valuable land space
-2.75% bonus on all cash and XP is a decent bonus payout
-Animated.  When tapped it releases fireworks and makes noise.
-It looks cool

Cons:
-Expensive.  100 donuts is a lot to pay for a boat (Knight Boat is only 40 donuts in comparison).
-It’s huge!  17×4 in size, may not be so easy to fit in the tight spaces around your boardwalk.

Final Thought: For me….this is a must buy, on the cool factor alone.  I love the animation for it & I love all things Duff in my Springfield.  So this was an item I jumped on right away.  However, at 100 donuts it’s not a cheap investment.  The 2.75% bonus is a nice return for the donuts spent.  To put it into perspective…the whale is 300 donuts and gives a 7% bonus.  The Duff Party Liner is 1/3 the cost and the pay out is better than 1/3 the bonus % of the whale.  So it’s a decent return on your donut investment.
Of course water in TSTO is one of the most expensive tiles of land to purchase, so it’s understandable if you don’t have enough water open to accommodate the Party Liner  AND Squidport.  But once some opens up it’s definitely a good investment!
In the end it’s your call.  What you buy and what you don’t buy is your own personal choice we can only guide you on the facts and let you know what we did and what we think.
