In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where Did THAT Come From?

(As a bonus, I also ramble about other Squidport items.)

Valentine’s Day has arrived in Springfield! But, with all of the new Valentine’s premium items it may be overwhelming trying to decide which items to buy and what to pass on. I know it can be tempting to just buy everything you can. But, have no fear! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth your donuts & what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add The Whale to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding this Water Mammal to your Springfield.

Pros:
-A BIG FRAKKIN WHALE IN SQUIDPORT!!!
-A HUGE Bonus Payout
-Animation: The Whale dives into the water and pops out while spouting water from the blowhole when tapped.
-Sound: Makes Whale calls when tapped.
Cons:
-OH MY 300 DONUTS???!!
-Massive cost for an item that is not used by any characters or tasks in the games.
Final Thought:
I did buy a Whale (well they are unlimited so I actually accidentally purchased two of them. Make sure YOUR confirm donuts spend is set to OFF!) It REALLY hurt losing 600 of my precious pink sprinkled sugary sweets. GAH! I do like the idea of a Giant Mammal in my Squidport. It does have amusing animation and a huge bonus…but honestly…I would say save your donuts on this one. You can purchase TWO Buildings w/characters for the cost it take for this ginormous water creature…with payouts and tasks. I just do not see a great benefit to it. Other premiums with better odds can also be purchased to equal the bonus payout and still hit under the 300 donut mark. So unless you are a completionist and HAVE to get every last item, I would save those precious donuts and pass on this one.
OOOOOOOOOh, EA gave us ANOTHER giant item for our Squidport. Yours getting a bit filled up now too? A Giant Whale!! Didn’t see that one coming, did you?
Whale now, I bet you are wondering why on earth did they stick this massive mammal into our game? Where did it come from? What does it have to do with the Simpsons? Well just sit tight, grab a nice cup of your favorite drink, snuggle up, and listen close as I tell a tall tale of a Whale.
Hey there Addicts. This weeks Showoff I want to see those AWESOME boats that EA has given us (still a toss up between the Mayflower and Submarine as to which one is my favorite).

Bonus % Per Donut Spent: 0.05%
Conform-o-Meter Points: 400 Vanity
Where Can I Place It?: Water only.
Final Thought: At 40 donuts and a 2% bonus the Knightboat is one of the best donut to bonus items you can purchase in TSTO. Plus it’s a BOAT, and gives you something new for your water.
Of course water in TSTO is one of the most expensive tiles of land to purchase, so it’s understandable if you don’t have enough water open to accommodate the Knightboat AND Squidport. But once some opens up it’s definitely a good investment!

Whoa, what a week. We went from 2013 to 2014 in the blink of an eye. Lots in store for the future here at Addicts. For now, let’s look at the past…week. 🙂
Well hello there tappers and tappettes!
Kind of a slow day here at Addicts as you can see from my silly attempt to sing an oldie with TSTO lyrics and failing. I had written a whole verse and chorus but scrapped it to spare you the silliness lol.
As we ramp up for the new year. I’m personally so excited for 2014 and all the new content we will have coming in the future. Of course New Year’s Eve is synonymous with champagne and maybe a little debauchery so I figured I’d hit the kegs here at Addicts and see what’s on tap for today…
I know a lot of folks probably are feeling a little tapped-out with the holiday event, so I thought I’d take a break from it all and talk about a neglected area of a lot of Springfields… Squidport. Whether you feel it is you or EA that is guilty of the neglect is up to you. Like most things in life, you are the master of your destiny (and opinion), but I thought I’d show you a neat little trick or two to spice up your Springfield Pier Area.
