These are just a few of the FAQ’s I’ve noticed come up a lot with TSTO, and some that are just fun facts to know.
How many characters have been introduced in TSTO to date?
As of Level 32/Krustyland Expansion there are 80 Characters that have been introduced to the game at some point, either as a limited time character or a permanent addition. These include characters that have no tasks and only walk around.
As of 3/14/19 there are 403 playable characters (not including skins) and 144 NPCs.
When I visit my friend’s town why are some of their characters dressed differently than mine?
From time to time EA will introduce a costume for a character, already in the game, that will open up a whole new quest line for that character. Sometimes these costumes come out with a big event (like Christmas and Halloween) and other times they’re introduced as part of a promotion for an upcoming episode of the Simpsons.
As of Level 32 there are 15 total costumes that have been introduced. Out of that 15 only 2 of them are permanent additions (McBain & Kamp Bart), and they both cost donuts to unlock.
What about Chief Wiggum? Doesn’t he have a costume? Sometimes I see him walking around my neighbors Springfield in a dress.
Chief Wiggum does not have a costume, however if you send him on his 24 hour task (Go on a Stakeout) he will walk around Springfield in a dress and blue wig.
How many buildings have been introduced in TSTO to date?
As of level 32 (not including Krustyland) there have been 98 buildings released, between permanent additions, limited-time, and premium.
Do all of the buildings earn money?
No. While almost all of the buildings earn money there are a handful of buildings that do not earn money but have other tasks. Cletus’s Farm does not earn money as the other buildings do instead it earns money through growing crops, Channel 6 earns money through news broadcasts and Open Air Stage earns money through characters performing. While Springfield Downs earns money through betting on the Dog Races.
Town Hall, Moe’s Tavern, Springfield Elementary & the Police Station do not earn money. However, your neighbors can vandalize those buildings with spray paint while visiting and you earn money from cleaning up the spray paint.
Finally, Springfield Retirement Castle is the one building that does not earn money, has no tasks to earn money, and cannot be vandalized. However, it’s a building you must purchase in order to get Grandpa Simpson.
How large can I expand my Springfield to?
Including the water and shoreline Springfield is 18×18.
Krustyland is a 10×10 square.
How much would it cost to purchase all the available land in Springfield?
To purchase all of the land in Springfield, 326 squares, it would cost $44,992,890 game dollars.
To purchase all of the land in Krustyland, 100 squares, it would cost 469,000 tickets.

Hi Bunny, I’m at level 13. When I tuned in this morning All the aliens and spaceship were gone, along with the Halloween stuff. I get why the Halloween things are gone, but what happened to the space ship, the sound(different) and the little guys I was squishing. Did I do something wrong, will they come back, I just added the cooling towers and everything else seems to be working. Thanks for your help. I lost the whole game 2 weeks ago, don’t want to start over again. Yhanks for any help!
Oh one more thing, I do not use the login but sign in anonmously can and should I chage that and can I do that now w/o losing the game again.

Aliens were a part of the Halloween event. So they are gone too. Now just back to regular character tasks until the next event comes along
I wish there was a way to see the total value of your Springfield- how much you have spent in total on buildings, decorations etc. Like a market value, would be very cool to that mines worth $xx and see other peoples.

Hey Bunny, just a quick question. I have the rat trap delivery vehicle in my store to place in my town, which I have. My question is: which item is the better value to farm donuts the blood mobile or the rat trap van? Both seem more expensive, and appear to provide lots of experience points. Do you know which is the better value?

I am trying to understand what you mean. Did you get the Alien in the Drive In? Or did you pay to win the U.B.O. Mr Burns glowing Alien?

I am sorry but I do not understand the question. Are you asking when the event ends? It is over now, but you may still see items in your town until you get the app market update to remove them.

I just managed to save 150 donuts for the ray gun to shoot down the saucer, but it’s not available in the building menu anymore. Does anyone know anything about this??

I was Tapped Out before this event started, and wasn’t motivated towards getting the prizes. However, my casual approach has given me the option of Crafting the Rigelian Queen or Hugo. Any advice on which one I should acquire?
Do you want a decoration of a queen that Kang and Kodos have one task with or do you want another fully tasked character in your town?
Changing the subject……..does anyone know what’s coming next after the Halloween event is over? Is there anything in the code that indicates what’s next and when? I’ve been saving up cash and Krustyland tickets in anticipation of the next release.

I just unlocked the U.B.O. Early this morning and when I went to my inventory to click on it and place it in my town, it disappeared and didn’t seem to go in my town anywhere. It isn’t in my inventory anymore and I can’t find it anywhere in my town. It still shows as accomplished in the event prizes list screen. Help!

Im completely boned thanks to the Downs bug. Stuck in the tutorial with only $1800. I literally cant do anything not even wait for daily reward money because YEP the daily rewards are treat bags! this is so frustrating. tapping so hard towards u.b.o. and now with just a mere couple hundred dna’s to go, im completely stuck and helpless.
You can still gain money tapping on neighbors. It should help. Also, contact EA.
i cant. my only option is to bet on a dog but i dont have enough money to bet and i absolutely cannot tap anything or anyone to get money.

Hi, I just started playing this game prior to the halloween quest near the ending. Some things I do get about Tapped Out and others I don’t. Who owns “Other Springfield”. Can I decline some tasks from the task list? I want certain characters but not their buildings, how does that work? Why can’t players have more autonomy over their Springfield Town? Will buildings/ furniture be able to rotate 360 one day? Why can’t players instant message their friend list? Why can’t players be their own Simpsons avatar in the game so they can go inside the buildings?
Other Springfield is just a generic set up so you have at least one other town to visit until you add friends.
No declining, many tasks are required to progress through the game.
You have to get the combos, they are a package.
What do you mean more autonomy? You can control what is in there outside the Simpsons house. Just store the rest you don’t want away. Just keep in mind if it is needed for a task or progression of dialog, you will have to pull it back out.
Only some items have 360 capability. It is a coding thing.
You can message your friends on Origin via the Origin desktop messenger, however…they have to be on it too and look at it to even know you are. Not many use it.

I’m somewhat new to the game and I’ve just now seen “krustyland” and it keeps telling me I need to collect tickets. How do I get these tickets?
Placing items like buildings in Krustyland. They generate just like money in Springfield. Each building has a time set when it will generate. Feel free to poke round our menu for all things Krustyland.
There’s a “New” sign above my neighbors and friends button, which suggests I have a new neighbor request, but when I click to check nothing appears, and there are no requests. I did delete someone a while back and this person has started visiting my town again… Could that be it?? No idea how to restore that person or find this new request that I’ve got. Help!! This is driving me crazy!!
Sometimes it takes a bit for it to sync up. May be one incoming.
Completely missed this event and the last one because the game is telling me there is not enough space to download the content I literally have nothing left to delete to make space WHAT DO I DOOOO??????
Uninstall app. Restart device. Reinstall. See if that helps

As long as you have an Origin ID, all you have to do is log back in when you reinstall. I do it all the time.

Just a quick question: does anyone know the purpose of upgrading the board with a nail weapon? Of course I enjoyed the satisfaction of upgrading, but I can’t tell any difference. Your thoughts?
It made the squish zone radius bigger to a point. So you’d squish lots all at once.

I’m playing Simpsons tapped out. I’m current stuck on the Springfield downs. It wants me to make a bet but I don’t have enough money. Its been frozen for two weeks. I have paid for doughnuts and enjoy the game.. I have tried to reinstall it a few times. What should I do?
Not quite sure what you are asking here. So you are on the walkthrough for the Springfield Downs and you need to place a bet? If you keep sending your characters out on tasks, you will earn money to be able to do it.
What is the Santa in his sleigh, flying across the screen with his 9 reindeer? I’ve only seen this twice while visiting neighbors and would just like to know where it came from or how it came about? Thanks!

Hi there TSTO know it alls! I have 2 questions:
1) There are many times when I tap on the Grems in my Springfield and there is no acknowledgment as to who sent it. Is this common?
2) I have 3 KwikEMarts – in the morning, all 3 have Itchy & Scratchy floating above, indicating that I have 3 cards to scratch, but as soon as I scratch one, the other 2 are gone. Why is this? If I paid for 3 KMarts (so to speak), I should get 3 lottery tix, no?
Many thanks for your wise answers. The times I have tried to fix issues with EA have been disastrous and I have given up. My lag time to fix roads, pavement and waterways is over 35 sec., and I lost out on multiple gift bags from UFO’s. I just couldn’t spend any more time than the 5 hours I already had waiting for EA to help me.
1: It is common. I have seen it all event. Not sure as to why it does it unless there is an issue with the sync of info when the person drops it off.
2: The other two are “Franchises” and do not cost or function the same as the original. Apu is ONLY Linked to the Original. The tickets, though they may show as it is a coding thing, will only be linked to the Original.
As to the lagging, I ran into that too…so I nuked my town and this time round put less in my town. It seems the decorations and buildings REALLY strain that memory in the game. Also with a bunch of lil aliens running around for the event. Its a memory nightmare. So…try to keep the town drain to a minimum. Lower amounts of “stuff” in your town. Characters that are not needed on inside tasks as outside require extra animation. Store NPC that you do not need as them walking around drain. Etc. Also, try a complete reset. Clear cache/data, uninstall, restart device, reinstall, launch app again. This way if you have a corrupted file adding to the mix, you can clear it out.
Also…this game requires a LOT of memory so make sure that you have lots of open space on your device and close all other apps that may be running in the background.
Hello…still having issues with crashing and it’s only with this one town. I’m on day 4 now, still can’t get in and my concern is once events over they won’t know of the issue and will just think I don’t visit. If vtakach2 sees this please know I can’t get into your town due to it crashing every time I try to visit.
