Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
It’s been a while, so I just wanted to pop in and check in with all of you. I hope everyone is doing well, staying safe, and finding little moments of happiness wherever you can. I still think about this amazing community often and all the friendships we’ve built over the years—it truly means more to me than words can say.
Life on my end has been busy (as it always seems to be!), but full of love, laughter, and lots of family time. The kids are growing way too fast, keeping me on my toes, and reminding me every day what really matters most.
Riley continues to dance 5 days a week, and is finding so much success on the competition team! Her first year with a solo, and she’s placed first in both competitions they’ve done so far. She’s dancing to “Spoonful of Sugar”, and it’s definitely the right song for her! She won a special Judge’s award at her last comp for “Lights Up the Stage,” and I couldn’t agree more! The girl has found her passion, and I couldn’t be prouder of her!
Sammy continues to play soccer, he absolutely loves being Goalie! (even if it makes me a nervous wreck every game!) So far this season (4 games), he hasn’t been scored on yet, so I think he’s found his calling! Last game, he came out of the goal and even scored his first goal! In addition to soccer, baseball season is in full swing, and I’ll tell you now that he wears glasses (and can actually see the ball), the kid can hit! Love watching ALL of his games, and how excited he gets!
And then there’s Teddy, who likes to keep me on my toes! Never know what that little boy is going to get into next, that’s for sure! That third kid, man, that’s the one that’ll give you gray hairs for sure! He has started T-Ball, and he LOVES it! His first game is tonight, and I can’t wait to watch him play!
(And if you want more updates on the kiddos, you’re always welcome to follow me on Instagram @AddictsAlissa)
I did want to share something close to my heart. The kids are currently working on a fundraiser, and they’ve set a pretty big goal for themselves—they’re trying to get at least one donation from every state and even from all around the world!
If you feel inclined and are able to help, even just a few dollars would mean so much—not just for the donation itself, but for helping them reach people far and wide and see how connected this world really is.
You can check it out here:

Every little bit helps, and truly, it’s all appreciated more than you know.
As always, thank you for being such an incredible community. I miss you all and hope to hear how everyone’s doing—so feel free to check in below!
All my best,
Alissa

Is this project still alive?
It’s so great to hear an update! Hard to believe how much the kids have grown over the years. Wishing them the absolute best of luck with their fundraiser goal—such a fun idea to try and reach people all around the world!
TREAT WITH CAUTION, POSSIBLE AI COMMENT.
IIRC the exact same text turned up from the fool trying ( and failing ) to sneak casino links in.
It’s not a copy n paste of a previous comment here like I thought so we’ll see
EDIT: ANOTHER FAILED ATTEMPT TO GET AN ONLINE GAMBLING SITE LINK ON HERE
THAT WON’T EVER WORK
Thanks for your vigilance! I run a large Facebook group, so I can definitely empathize. Fortunately, Facebook does flag some things for me and I’ve trained the group members to report any posts or comments that they think might have broken our group’s rules. (In my group, snitches get riches (in terms of thanks), not stitches! 😄
Although the spam filter here is really great it does occasionally nab genuine posts, usually those with links to articles / pics.
I’ve also got it set up with 2 open admin pages. One that’s gone quiet for that bulk offender to zap those first and one for what’s left in spam after. I can also run a filter on it, like ?ref= will find the usual crypto spam and anyone trying to post a referral link.
After that it’s the usual suspects … online stores, gambling, pharmaceuticals, website tools or developers and the -ahem- adult content that might have a few goes over a week and then go quiet.
Even when it was bad, with 100+ spam posts, using those tips meant in a couple of clicks I’d maybe got 8 to review and either delete or un-spam and post.
I’m being a bit lenient on anything that’s not clear and obvious and breaks no rules, but adding a warning if I think it’s a dupe intended to add the spam content later.
Over on the old Forum for example posts would often start fine, but you could edit those …
The last couple I warned on were probably people hoping that would work here, but the only way anything gets edited is if you ask one of us with admin privileges or if we feel it’s appropriate to moderate a little before approving – or I fix my own mistakes !!
This article is really more about EA than about The Sims, so I thought it might be of interest to anyone still getting updates from this site. Hope you all are well (and a special hello to you, Mike, since you always send one to me! 😉)!

Howdy.
Howdy to you, to! 🙂
This heat be brutal.
Hi fellow Simpsons fans! Just wanted to tell everyone that Monopoly Go game app has a Simpsons theme for the next 50 days. It’s quite interesting and has some fun daily challenges for someone like me that misses the Tapp out game this feels like a good little treat 🙂
Alissa
Oh my!! Them kiddos are getting big and keeping you BUSY!!! Thank you very much for the update. While I miss the game, I miss this community more. Hope everyone has an awesome Summer 😁
❤️
The Mets? Anywho…it seems to actually be a 30$ min. I had issues submitting my payment..I’ll try again tomorrow.
Miss you Sandra!
Still here, Mike! Your shout-outs always make me smile. 🙂
Hi Sandra…glad to hear that you’re still “here”. Hope your Mom is doing as good as possible, and you too. Mom here is hanging in there..but no more puzzle making, or the crossword…the shaking of arms/hands is really strong…she doesn’t have enough arm strength to straighten herself out in her chair, yet when I walk with her and tremors start..I’m not even able to hold her arms from shaking. This could be a “heads up” for anyone reading this that may encounter Parkinson’s in the future. Sandra…if you ever want my email…I give permission for the site’s peeps to share with YOU…
So sorry to hear about your mom…Parkinson’s is a bitch. 😔 It’s terrible for the person who has it and also for their family/caregivers, like you. I’m so sorry she and you are going through that.
Btw, I’m on Facebook….same name and same profile picture as here, if you want to connect. Do you use Facebook Messenger? It’s a decent chat platform. I spend a fair amount of time on Facebook (more than in email), since I run a diamond painting Facebook group (the “Diamond Painting for Beginners (but all levels are welcome!)” Facebook group), which has about 28K people in it now! (I started it less than two years ago, so I’m pretty proud of that.)
The Mets, much to my dismay…
Great to hear from you and that everything is going good. They do grow up fast. My oldest gets her drivers license next month and my youngest was just in her first play. But oh how I miss them playing sports. Cheers!
It’s a fantastically crazy time!
Wow how they have grown, I remember when!!!
Take me back lol 2015.
Am now a grandad, I would post a photo of my grandson who’s nearly 1 but think my daughter would tell me off.
Great post Alissa cheered me up.
❤️
I gave a little laugh when I went to the website to see if I could increase the number of states tgat have donated and found out that every single donation at the current time is from the state I already live in
