Where Did THAT Come From – Springfield Animal Shelter

In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where Did THAT Come From?

You know what they say… better nate than lever.  As the 2015 TSTO Holiday Event wraps up (get it, that’s a Christmas wrapping pun lol), there’s still items I haven’t had a chance to write about.  There’s snow time like the present and since there’s still amazing stuff you might be wondering about, it’s time again for me to dip into my noggin of Simpsons info and write about specific stuff. For this post I will be going over one of the premium items from Act I of the 2015 TSTO Holiday Event for 60 Donuts… the Springfield Animal Shelter. Let’s check out the TV Series to find it.

After Dr. Hibbert runs over Bart’s bike and Lisa’s kitty (Snowball II) in “I, (Annoyed Grunt)-Bot” (S15:E9), there’s only one thing to do.

Enjoy some hilarity of Homer building a bike for Bart and then to go to the Springfield Animal Shelter of course.

Snowball III was not long for this world though. Coltrane wasn’t either… not a big fan of jazz. None of the other cats want to tank a chance with Lisa after two go down. They’d rather take their chances in the back room.

Thankfully Crazy Cat Lady shows up later to throw Lisa a good luck kitty. Lisa names her Snowball V but to save money on not buying a new food dish, decides to call it Snowball II.

Later in “Jazzy and the Pussycats” (S18:E2) we see the Animal Shelter again. This time after Bart ends up being a drum virtuoso and possibly a better musician than his sister. Lisa is feeling down so Marge takes her to the pound to feel better by getting a puppy.

So many animals to save… so many animals. Lisa acquires quite the menagerie.

So there you have it friends. The premium shelter’s sign comes from the second episode but it’s sign is on the same side as the first one.  Did you buy it in Act I? What do you think of it? Sound off you out of sight, juzzy tappers.

TTFN… Wookiee out!

  1. I noticed that in the show (but not in the game) the Animal Shelter sign is planted in a plot of grass in a decidedly “graveyard” style… It kind’a makes the S15:E9 inscription seem more fitting.

  2. I put a bush in front of the sign on mine, so now it just says “We’re a pet store, people!”

  3. “That’s really a cheat, isn’t it?”
“I guess you’re right, Principle Tamzarian.”
    “I’ll just be moving along.”
