What EA said:

It’s time for the trial, and everyone is prepared. Or rather, they’re as prepared as they can be for whatever nonsense Krusty has cooked up. First up is Sophie, who proceeds to mime the Stations of the Cross for Reverend Lovejoy. Due to her miming-punishment for flirting with Bart earlier, she’s become a mime savant, and Lovejoy is blown away and withdraws his name from the lawsuit. Following that act is Dieter Wolfcastle performing for Wiggum, where Dieter arrives in a clown police car along with 20 other kids dressed up as police officers. Dieter reveals himself last, dressed as Wiggum, who throws donuts to the crowd. Wiggum loves the performance and removes his name from the lawsuit. The only one left to win over is Skinner, but he promises he’ll never approve of Bart’s upcoming performance. Krusty then asks Skinner why he hates clowns so much, and Skinner reveals that his application to Clown College was rejected many years ago, and that’s why he ended up serving in the Army where he “saw things”. Krusty offers to let Skinner teach in his clown school, and Skinner happily accepts and drops the lawsuit.

  1. I’m unable to play.

I’ve been requesting codes for days from the game and EA Help. Chatted with ea help every day and they won’t let me in..

I provided my last purchase, user ID, game level.. and they just won’t let me in no matter what.

They tell you some information you provided is inaccurate but for security reasons they can’t tell you what or which.

Offered my password and they didn’t care.

I can’t get codes to an email that’s not receiving codes. 😕

I just spent a bunch of money for this game on black friday as well. Lesson learned.

Never give EA one cent ever again.

    • 1: see my reply to when you asked yesterday …

2: Don’t think in-app purchases where you paid Apple / Google / Amazon matter, only what games you bought from EA, so tell them that or that they won’t find records on your account for things they ask.
If they don’t know something but you do then you gave a wrong answer !!

      • Thank you I appreciate that. I did see your reply yesterday.

Yes if that’s the case it was a wrong answer because the purchases were from the Play Store, not EA.

The date of birth I never really took seriously because we had a PASSWORD. I think I answered correctly but it could also be wrong.

When I started playing the game 12 years ago on
and off Hotmail was more common and it was an account i used for things not critical or work related, but over that time it’s not supported as well and my sync doesn’t like it. For some reason last week all EA emails just stopped, not in the Spam anywhere. I marked it as important as you mentioned and just nothing so far.
Hotmail is still supported, other emails are still in there.

It’s something I’ve been trying to change for some time to Gmail but my ability to get codes over the last year(s) has been so difficult I was just lucky to eventually get in to the game. (The sync is outside the 10 minute window or they just didn’t show up)

It’s an Indian based customer service center, not the best customer service out there, and I think they said i only get one more chance to get the info right but I’m not certain. Hard to understand 😪

I’m only a mid level player because life got in the way a few separate times over the years but it’s years of work and $$ obviously.

I’ll hold out hope a code sneaks through but otherwise I don’t know what to do and I’m bummed to miss Act 4.

Any additional advice would be great but I know you don’t work for EA.

Would pushing for a refund from The play store provide any type of leverage to get me back in? They didn’t care at all about the password.

        Desperately Hopeful.

        • If it’s Hotmail then the best answer is to use Microsoft help to sort that until you can get a code to fix your EA account and then change to Gmail as well as add at least one option for recovery.

          These may help …

          https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/home/contact

I’ve got 3 games so 3 emails and each has one of the other emails as a backup so if one goes pop I can use the other to get a code to allow me to make account changes.

There’s a limit on asking for a play store refund and I don’t think it’d help anyway.

          • No luck. Is there anything I can do besides the useless EA chat help?

            I’m starting to think it’s a chatbot.

I’m missing the whole act. I can’t recover the hotmail yet either but still trying. I think it’s related to the server crash last week, it killed my sync.

            • Try again at outlook.com and check every setting and folder in case they’re going somewhere that’s not the Inbox is still the best bet, as well as using Microsoft Help to figure it.
Perhaps Microsoft can find ’em, in which case get logged in to your EA account and trigger a new email with a new code as you talk to them so you can ask ’em for that 6 digit number.

The only other way is to keep trying EA Help until you get it sorted.
Had a similar one posted today on an old Open Thread …

            • PS – asked EA if there might be an issue with Hotmail as some providers are changing the rules for bulk senders of emails, but it doesn’t seem like that might be what happened

            • Assuming it still exists (it’s been a while since I’ve needed to contact EA support, kineahora), always used phone support, never chat support! As worth most companies, the chat support reps are generally the lowest level support folks, with the least knowledge and power. I recommend calling their phone support during U.S. “business hours”… you’ll get the best help from reps in the US or Ireland. If you get a rep that sounds like they’re from southeast Asia (India, Malaysia, etc.), hang up and dial again. It’s a bit of a crap shoot where your call will end up routed to.

Again, my advice may be out of date now, as they may have changed their whole support operation. But that advice was sounds a few years ago, for sure!

              • Thanks Sandra. I’ll try anything.

I’ve been messaging their EA Help Facebook page since Thursday and they’ve yet to even read the messages. I’ll try calling every day too.

Who continually fights for a game that isn’t theirs? Should be able to see the combination of someone begging for their game back and their game sitting stagnant. I gave them general donut count, ip, a user level within a few levels. Last characters and don’ut purchases. Password.

Ip, donut count and level can change within a small degree on a whim. It’s a mobile game, and you can level up gain or lose a few donuts within one tap session.

I could Make the same argument for the email. Who fights for a 20 year old email account from hotmail? You tell them things that are in there and recently sent items and they don’t care, they want security questions from the year 2000. Don’t care about the email address but probably a dozen or more things that verify through it because it always just worked.

2FA isn’t always a sure thing, ppl lose emails and phone numbers. But it’s been a learning moment.

Act 4 is lost for me at this point, all I can do is hope to get my game back.

  2. The writers apparently watch John Oliver!!

  3. That “or buy me a Winnebago” line was awesome

  4. There will be a post on the NPCs up later today after the Turbo Tappin’
It was set for Friday after the Prizes post, ’cause you have to get those first, but I didn’t fancy seeing questions about ’em for the next few days …

    … it’s up now …
    https://tstoaddicts.com/2024/03/05/fears-of-a-clown-clown-npcs/

  5. For the characters in the Fears of a Clown collection, there still seems to be 2 characters that are not available as premium characters or to be won as prizes in this chapter. Do we know if they are coming?

    • You can buy them for 30 donuts each after you completed every act of the event. They‘re NPCs.

    • I suspect after the event they will be able to be purchased for donuts. My guess probably 50 Donuts.

This is what happened to othe npc characters from the past if my memory is correct

  6. Has there been any info on how we get the two clowns that walk around our towns yet? The ones that we are tapping now as part of each quest. They appear in the character collection page but I haven’t seen info on how we will get them.

  7. I am confused because there are two clowns I didn’t get and won’t get all the characters for this what did I miss.
