A quick note on including Sound Effects
Alissa has mentioned doing a Sounds Of post a couple of times and I kept forgetting. Sorry ’bout that.
I’m also having fun trying to figure what’s what in that collection, there’s old stuff that doesn’t seem to relate to anything as well as the new clips.
Anyhoo, bright idea time, and I got the go-ahead from the boss !!
From this event on I’ll include the clips with the posts as I go.
That means if there’s a new set of sounds when collecting event currency I will add them in with the Currency Jobs on the Turbo Tappin’ post.
In the Walkthroughs you’ll get the sound effects that go with those items.
In the Prizes post you’ll get the clips for those.
Where they’ve used an old existing effect I’ll just note that though.
I’ve already edited the Premium and Cash Item posts. There’s no point doing the Turbo for this act as that’s an older set of sounds used and the upcoming Prizes Post will remind you of this as well has have the sounds in there.
Right then, back with that Misery Box post tomorrow – if I’m not up all night trying to match clips to items !!
You are amazing, Graham! I’m grateful to you for not only keeping this site going, but even working to enhanced it! I get exhausted just thinking about all of the work you do here.
( Shhh, don’t tell anyone, but I do a lot of it with templates and Excel macros )
( Got to write new ones for store and misery box stuff and spent last week fixing the 2 main macros when “improvements” broke ’em !! Still need to research through a few files manually then everything is put together offline ready to upload and post )

Also, about other sounds, as I live in Brazil, my English is not so good and sounds that I hear while a character is finishing a job, are like I hear it wrong. For example, Dr. Hibbert says something like “… Brian on the mountain money or mountin button”. This makes no sense, so I am sure I’m understanding this wrong. It would be interesting to know the text of that sounds. Is there a place that I can find them? Thank you!
You could try asking Gracie Studios, who write the scripts for the show and the game and record the clips, but that’s not something in with the info available to us. Sorry.
It doesn’t help that every update ever has it’s own set of files within the data, so finding the stuff for one event isn’t too bad but figuring where to look to find that clip would be a mahoosive task !!
Took me half an hour to find a file that lists his 10 clips, but doesn’t give me any clue where they are !!
