Here’s how I figure it works based on a 9 tap loop, but it might be 10 taps depending on if it counts 1 to 9 or 0 to 9 …
You can tap up to 3 times a day for rewards.
When you do the quest to tap you definitely get a Donut.
The next eight taps pay either 1,000 $$s or 100 XP.
The ninth tap will pay a Donut again before it loops back to $$s or XP.

No tasks with the Unemployment Office or in a jobs list, but may show up to be used in some group tasks.
If you got the Gil Deal from the Dog Days event back in 2022 you can tap the Springfield Pet Fair Stage and send him to Get Judged
Won’t show up in the Town Hall Census, so you’re on your own finding him in your town.

Did anyone else never get Sprinkles the dog coming up? I kept thinking it would come up with the July event, but when it never did, I checked and saw it here. Neither I nor several other people I know on iPad iOS had him come up during donut days. Anybody else have this issue? We each have 40k+ donuts and buy everything new, but never got the chance 🙁
It was only those 5 days in early June and cost real-world money not Donuts.
I know there were issues for US players on Kindles, with Amazon US not allowing those in-app buys, but on all my devices including my Kindle here in the UK I had the option.
BTW, that donut count isn’t bad, but consider this …
I started a new town at the end of January 2023.
This April I got mini-nukes in the vault, knew when they’d be there, and spent 53,760 Ds on 1,536 of ’em with 6 days of hard farming

The item limit is killing me! I just had to store all of my hidden bonus-earning flags (the lowest hidden bonus-earning items I could find), but that won’t last long. I would have bought a ton of donut fences to surround my Lard Lad amusement park/fair area, but the item limit kills that idea. (Fortunately, they’re very little and the backs are barely distinguishable as donuts, so it’s not a huge loss, but neither can I put up some other kind of fencing either.) Also, the Lard Lad amusement park/fair is pretty sad, having only one ride! On the plus side, I do like that you can rotate the benches to all four directions!!! I wish they’d do that with more items.
I’ve got thousands of assorted fences and deccies stored in case I ever get the chance to use ’em.
Still debating the spend for this lot though …

Not sure if this is normal, but i’ve just been able to send sprinkles on a 4 hr task. I had to send Springfielders to Attend a party as part of the Michael D’Amico quest line, and Sprinkles was one of the characters I could send.
I mention he might show up for Group-send jobs.
Need to remember what the building is ( Pet Fair?? ) but tap that and he can Get Judged too

I got sprinkles and tapped him and got the first donut, I fear I’m never gonna find him again now as he’s such a tiny character in a big town. Is there any tips for locating him again? 😭

I was quite keen on that Ferris wheel but it’s bonus is quite low which is off putting when the cheaper truck has a better bonus. Doesn’t the donut stature give out donuts like it use to (from what I’ve read). I grabbed sprinkles.
Possibly – forgot about that, but it’s a one off if as I recall.

Yes the donut stature does still give back ten donuts. I also love the animated task for homer from the donut tray, that was unexpected.

I think you mean the big Gold Donut? It has 3 assorted appearances: plain gold, with pink frosting or with a bite taken out of it.) I have not been able to tap donuts from it for several years. I’m puzzled that you can still collect 10 donuts from it – or did you just get it in this donut day event?
Donut Mech, the big pink (looks like an Anime character) character with a donut body has a 24 hour task that earns 3 donuts.
Yahweh, the giant robed & bearded character, has a 24 hour task that earns 7 donuts.
The Lard Lad Donut Factory and CostMo store each earn 6 donuts every 24 hours.
Other than those, and now Sprinkles the dog, I don’t think any other item or character routinely gives donuts every day by tapping it.
There are other ways to earn donuts (Where’s Maggie, Rail Yard, etc) but it can take multiple days to earn them each time.
It is that Gold Statue, and it is a one-off reward.
If you haven’t had it before you should get those 10 Ds

I’ve been playing since the first Whacking Day event and really appreciate all the ways the game creates donut generating actions. After this many years, my town generates substantial daily income; I keep the XP Collider going which generates substantial donuts on a regular basis. But all these other small ways we have to make donuts always helps!
I wont say what it is, but I’m 99% certain my oldest game holds the record for the highest amount of honestly obtained donuts.
Even the town I started back in January 2023, when I started writing on here, generates at least a hundred a day.
Building your bonus is key, it makes a HUGE difference to how much you earn.
There’s also XP Farming, using items just for the XP, to get the Level-up Donuts..
The easiest for newer players is to keep building and selling extra Kwik-E-Marts.
If you have a whole load of $$s to spare buy and sell the more expensive deccies, like Rat Trap Trucks.
I believe that the Lard Land Amusement Park from the 2023 Black Friday Prize Track also gives out Donuts regularly, but I don’t know for sure, because I was not able to acquire the Lard Land Amusement Park at the time during that event.
Again, on kindle devices Sprinkles is not in store. Same with Park Ranger Johnson. Actually when you tap donuts nothing shows for any donut purchases, just so generators.
Could that be to do with the country you are in, or account settings like age restriction ??

Check the main bit of inventory where it shows everything. New stuff is usually near the start of that if you didn’t mis-tap and place it somewhere hidden.
( Says Inventory at the top if the language is English, not Decorations for example. If it says that, or another sub-section, then hit the back-arrow in the top left of the pop-up )

Unfortunately, it wasn’t in there…and I think I’ve checked every other list (at least twice). I doubt there’s anyone you can send there for a task? Since EA is not giving us any more land, my Springfield is getting so condensed it’s increasingly harder and harder to find anything now 🙁

I get that, but figured if you put one where you meant to originally you’ll get to see what it looks like and what it does – and it may help to identify the other if it shows up ages from now, then you might choose to store or sell that if you don’t want two of ’em.
Here’s a thought, if you store your oil well…which group does yours go into? Please don’t do this if you’re concerned on “losing it forever”!

I know just what you mean. Every now and again in my cluttered older towns I find past prizes that I placed which have finished building but I didn’t tap to complete ’em !!
