Well, I Jarred. TYRELL McCoy would just like to say that I have really enjoyed TSTO game and am confused if I am irate mad or suicide sad over the game leaving. I am a 35 yr old single male struggling with a ran through wife who has left and taken my Daughter with her. TSTO was actually the only reason of having a telephone anymore. Sounds sad, and that is because it is. My dog was ran over, my daughter has went to live with her mother and pos replacement husband. Sure could use a cup of Ned’s hot chocolate and some good advice or a bullet in my head. It’s been real folks, a beautiful ride. Dohh guess it is back to the dope instead …..
Merry Christmas to you all. In my opinion, The Simpsons Tapped Out is kicking us in us, game players, in the teeth while we are down… january 25 comes faster than we think, and with all the money that was spent in game (by myself and many like myself) they couldn’t even consider brokering an agreement for an open server? At least the hundreds of dollars over the past 10 years that I’ve poured into this game would be compensated for even if it wasn’t updated anymore it would allow us fans to create what we felt the game needed… EA is far from unintelligent, it’s blatantly obvious that it’s all in regards to licensing. ($$$) honestly I would want the gamers of today to stay with my company by doing small gestures of gratitude when the odds were against them to begin with. Am I wrong?
I feel like they made many “small gestures of gratitude.” For example, instead of simply shutting the game down, they gave us four months notice…something that I think it’s pretty unusual for a gaming company to do. They gave us the ability to buy pretty much everything we might not have gotten before (except that Disco Stu skin and maybe something else, which I think was just an oversight) and they made it easy to get the donuts to do it, if necessary. They lifted the item limits and gave us all the land. Keeping the games running in a server was not feasible, for many reasons, both financial and legal. The money you spent on the game was never going to give you anything permanent…that’s not how this kind of thing works for any kind of similar expenditure for an online game.
I understand your disappointment…. I’m very disappointed about losing this game that I’ve been heavily involved in for about ten years. But your expectations are unrealistic and your attitude is a bit unfair towards the company, IMO. Be happy about the all of the time the game had given you pleasure in exchange for your time and money (money which, btw, was entirely an optional spend), and try not to let a sour grapes attitude spoil that for you.
But late but Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to those that celebrate it. Seem to have the Simpsons family dancing to it ,most of my characters are all six arms and legs on the one spot.
Merry Christmas! 😢
Happy Holidays to you too Graham ☺
Thank you for all the help , information and support. You took on a job that was incredibly difficult all by yourself.
Kudos, my man, Kudos .
While children dream of presents under the tree and adults reminisce about precious moments from the past, remember that Christmas is a time to renew our family bonds and friendships. It is an opportunity to express gratitude for those who make our lives special and to show love and care, as it is these connections that make life truly rich.
MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎅🫶🎅🫶 to all my Simpsons neighbors, @Alissa & @Safi

In my original post (up above, that I wasn’t sure if it went through) did say “to you, …” which included the one who wrote the post/Graham. He just didn’t get it in my panic repost!
