As some of you may know I’m a volunteer with the EA CCP program.
This does not mean I am, or ever was, an employee of either EA or the TSTO Studio.

While express permission to get involved hasn’t been granted it also hasn’t been denied. That may change in the future and I’ll have to withdraw from further participation.
Search seems not to like hyphens!
EDIT: This is being investigated. Thanks spAnser.
EDIT 2: There’s a patch in place that doesn’t turn up zero results if a hyphen is included, but it does give more results than hoped for even if you type the name in full.
It even found my town searching 1–s …
I’ve not been able to find a Contact Us for the Town Archive, so I’m hoping they’ll get to see this post.
I’ve seen a few of you say you couldn’t find your town listed, and I had issues with my A Town ID. If like me yours includes a hyphen or two then maybe all is not lost.
If I type “1-” it immediately shows none found, but to illustrate this I did the search with my full user name …
I’m fortunate enough to have always known the value of the Mayhem IDs.
While I know not all of you will have this as an option if you did note it then use that to search instead …
As you can see my A town is there, even though searching by it’s name failed.
I have spent many an hour trying to find a work-round but the nearest seems to be for me to just search “Graham” and narrow it down to about 47 pages. Can’t confirm that worked though, lost the will to live going through them !!
Hopefully the people behind the archive will see this and find a solution for those affected.

Would you know how any updates work, is it automatically or by installing apk files for each update?

The game will update automatically, no need to update yourself.
Teamtsto!!!! Please help! I love tsto, but my town keeps on changing to someone else’s, and without the events or restarting from level 1, it’s lost the magic. Why is the base level 17? Is there something I can do to fix this? When will updates/events be made for the game?
Would you be developing a q&a forum so that the tsto diehards can get some feedback, information ect, that would be awesome 👌
There’s a Discord channel, check the TeamTSTO site for that.
I’d rather not use discord, based on their history of allowing stuff to slip by their moderation (that’s a nice way of saying it)… is there an alternative?

Can you ask team tsto if they could write an article here on tsto addicts where we can ask questions, or something similar? Also, have you read Patric’s book? I just finished it, I thought it was pretty funny.

I had found my towns the first time the link was posted but I was unable to download. With this link, I’ve finally managed to get them both. Have they fixed the Apple option?
There’s an Apple download link on teamtsto.org, but I don’t own anything to test that on.
I will be testing the Android version soon though.
Head to their site and hit the Join The Server button for the installer download links and then see the instructions they posted
I can’t find my town under anything I search. My EA name or parts of it, my real name. Also I see where there is an option to join the private server if you ever find it, but it says Android, what about all of us with apple devices? Thank you for the continued posts.
While they did manage to save over 3 million towns they didn’t get everything, sorry.
Try just a section of the EA name if you recall it clearly, in case there’s some odd mis-match on that.
Once you hit the Join The Server button on teamtsto.org it shows download buttons for Android and iOS.
In a day or three I’ll test and post on installing and check out playing from scratch without the saves file.
I plan a separate post on those save files, it’s a bit more involved than just find and download.
Now what? I can’t remember or just couldn’t follow the hopeful and helpful directions of what to do next – I have found 2 of my towns. I’m happy about it.
Now…what do I do next? I keep looking here, trying to figure it out. And can’t. And I’m semi technology proficient. Help? When you can. At least point me to another link again. Many thanks.
I’m yet to take the next steps as it looks like I need to uninstall and my 3 devices each have the save file from one of my 3 towns.
I do have a plan B but even after a gallon of coffee my brain isn’t up and running yet !!
Once I test what’s needed I’ll post more, but the short answer is you need to go through the team TSTO site …

Oddly can’t seem to find the download links to install right now though
I’ll figure it out a fix for this and get an update pushed. There was another issue I fixed a few weeks ago where names only worked if it started with what you were searching with.
