These are just a few of the FAQ’s I’ve noticed come up a lot with TSTO, and some that are just fun facts to know.
How many characters have been introduced in TSTO to date?
As of Level 32/Krustyland Expansion there are 80 Characters that have been introduced to the game at some point, either as a limited time character or a permanent addition. These include characters that have no tasks and only walk around.
As of 3/14/19 there are 403 playable characters (not including skins) and 144 NPCs.
When I visit my friend’s town why are some of their characters dressed differently than mine?
From time to time EA will introduce a costume for a character, already in the game, that will open up a whole new quest line for that character. Sometimes these costumes come out with a big event (like Christmas and Halloween) and other times they’re introduced as part of a promotion for an upcoming episode of the Simpsons.
As of Level 32 there are 15 total costumes that have been introduced. Out of that 15 only 2 of them are permanent additions (McBain & Kamp Bart), and they both cost donuts to unlock.
What about Chief Wiggum? Doesn’t he have a costume? Sometimes I see him walking around my neighbors Springfield in a dress.
Chief Wiggum does not have a costume, however if you send him on his 24 hour task (Go on a Stakeout) he will walk around Springfield in a dress and blue wig.
How many buildings have been introduced in TSTO to date?
As of level 32 (not including Krustyland) there have been 98 buildings released, between permanent additions, limited-time, and premium.
Do all of the buildings earn money?
No. While almost all of the buildings earn money there are a handful of buildings that do not earn money but have other tasks. Cletus’s Farm does not earn money as the other buildings do instead it earns money through growing crops, Channel 6 earns money through news broadcasts and Open Air Stage earns money through characters performing. While Springfield Downs earns money through betting on the Dog Races.
Town Hall, Moe’s Tavern, Springfield Elementary & the Police Station do not earn money. However, your neighbors can vandalize those buildings with spray paint while visiting and you earn money from cleaning up the spray paint.
Finally, Springfield Retirement Castle is the one building that does not earn money, has no tasks to earn money, and cannot be vandalized. However, it’s a building you must purchase in order to get Grandpa Simpson.
How large can I expand my Springfield to?
Including the water and shoreline Springfield is 18×18.
Krustyland is a 10×10 square.
How much would it cost to purchase all the available land in Springfield?
To purchase all of the land in Springfield, 326 squares, it would cost $44,992,890 game dollars.
To purchase all of the land in Krustyland, 100 squares, it would cost 469,000 tickets.

Help! I need to complete Life is Grand Part 2 because my Craft building seems to be locked. I can’t craft anything! I am level 46 , how do I complete this task?

Not the house…the Grand Pumpkin. That should be unlocked…it should never have been locked. You have to craft that first and then it’ll unlock the Pumpkin House.

Why is my game f’ed up in this update…..?
When i open my game it starts all from scratch.! Im level 46 and it even says that on the screen. Then when i tap the whole game starts from scratch with the homer movie.
Please help what do i do now?
Uninstall and reinstall TSTO, that should help bring your game back.
For some reason some tasks for some of my characters have not become available yet, even though i have been using them now for quite some time. For example, with Rodger Myers Jr , some of the tasks are unavailable, and say they require a quest. But theres been no quest for him. Im on level 44 so i dont see whats taking so long. Any ideas?
Try storing the Studios and Replacing it. See if that helps.
Having trouble accepting friend requests. I have 67 notifications for friend requests but when i go to the friends page it will tell me I have no current requests. Does anyone else have this problem? Am I missing a step? I used to accept friends with no problem but now can’t since the halloween update. I can add friends myself I just can’t seem to accept the requests. Someone help! Thxks.

I need help!! I can’t seem to unlock the “general hospital” ! I have completed all the tasks and now have three tasks I am unable to complete because I need the hospital (apu, hibberts son and now vampire burns) I’m on level 46. I have also tried removing things and replacing them to see if that makes a difference!

I’ve only been playing the game for a few weeks now, a little longer then that, I’m on Level 21, and I was wondering how can I make money a little quicker, what are the strategies to doing that? Brown houses make the most money, but you have to be on it all the time, so that does not work. other houses take so long but they make decent payouts. but what do some of these people do to get millions of $$$.

You only get Ray Guns for 90 actions per day from friends. So it’s possible that clock didn’t reset…

I realize the items for the halloween event are for a limited time only. But, aren’t all of them available for purchase as long as the event is going on? I went back to buy another wailing wall and another of the graveyards and they are all gone from the purchase window. Is this a glitch on my phone?
No. With the items that are returning from Halloween’s past…they’re all on various timers (what those times are we dont know), but those items aren’t in the store for long. The new items will be around for the whole event, but many of the premiums are rotating out. So the wailing wall is gone now, but you’ve got other premium items in its place
Where is the Sit-N-Rotate? I can’t find it since the menu redesign.
It should be listed right in buildings….
Question…..How many Spooky Houses can one town get?
As far as I can tell, no limit.
But is there a reason, aside from gluttony :), that we might need more? Why would they allow multiples of this one item? (I too saw it remained an option even after obtaining “my first”)

Hi Everyone…. I havea question… I want to get the Haunted house in the rewards section for the Halloween exp. But it says I have to have done “THE GOOD SON” quest…. Does anyone know how to trigger this? PLZ help! Im a fairly new payer.. (level20) PLZ help!
You’ll need to craft Hugo first and complete his questline. Part 5 of that will allow you to craft the spooky house
Is there a way to know if people deleted you from their neighbours?
If you keep track of them all and now that one is missing from your friend list. That is really the only way.

Hi guys. Great job with this site, the best! Just want to know if there is somewhere out there like a complete list of all the tasks that require 2 characters. I know I’m probably not the only one that just hates it when I assign my characters all 8 hour tasks and in the end there’s Maude waiting to get revenge on homer or Rex Banner wanting to interrogate Ned. Then you have to put them back in inventory and try again.
Lol. Nope. There are so many variables and they change per event and new characters added. It became almost impossible to keep up. So for now, I would say try and get used to who you have in your town for double tasks and keep them til last to send out. Like just tap the character icon again to go past them in the rotation.
I had been collecting parts of an outfit, but forgot who it was for and can’t find anything on it. Not sure if I collected all the parts or not. Please help a forgetful player. Thanks

It is a default message. It could be THEY are full.

Check your lil brown cardboard box inventory. Scroll through all of it. They are sectioned and alphabetic in each section.
Hi checked there under buildings and everything my inventory is empty thought it hadn’t purchased so pressed it again and wasted another 90 donuts

Create an Origin Account.
Just go to the neighbor screen. Tap on bart n milhouse. Tap on option to add friends, it will walk you through the basics of making an Origin account. Once that is complete and you sync your game to that…THEN unlink the facebook.
I am seeing on the boards that the Bart raven was suppose to come with the bad dream house. Is this true? And that the super collider will be available too. Now (in case it’s true) is it (collider) just another museum where it’s stand alone purpose is to take up space? Loving the new old stuff but was disappointed that devil Flanders doesn’t pay at a premium rate even though he cost enough. Strange…

What boards? Spoilers? This is why WE do not post them. Just because somebody sees something in the files, does not make it true. Just ask about the BIG GIANT TOILET. Or why Mayan Marge sat in them since 2012 to only come this year in a yard sale. Or the BBQ since the game launched in early 2012 that only now came in the form of a pig on it. 😉

I’m a bit flummoxed right now, and wondering what I missed, and where I missed it. I’ve been saving up real-life cash to buy a boatload of donuts (I think the best deal) for many of the choice premium Halloween items. When I logged in today, the graveyards, Burns’ crypt, and many other items were gone from the premium item list – replaced with new items. Was there an availability date on these that I missed?
I realize that all items are for a “limited time,” but I was under the impression that Halloween premium items would be available throughout the event (as with other past events). I don’t recall seeing an expiration date on any of these items. So, did I just miss out? If so, I don’t understand why EA can’t put a deadline to pull the trigger before the items will be gone. “Limited time” is rather ambiguous.

Why would I not want my friends to vandalize my town?
It takes a hit to your Righteousness rating everytime you are tagged. For people wanting the bonus multiplier in their town for hitting 5 stars, that is not a good thing.
