Bouncing on in really quickly to let you know that an Episode Tie-In hit our silly lil games this morning.
With Alissa busy with Mommy duties and me… well… hangin in there. I wanted to get at least SOMETHING up on the site until we can finish pulling more information, so hang in there and keep an eye on this post as more information will be updated as we can get to it. 🙂
BACK WITH MORE IN A BIT!!
Sanjay first auto started the Questline as soon as I opened the game. He has some quick dialog with Homer and then a short 4hr task. Once his 4hr Task is complete, you will unlock his son Jay for free into the game.
Jay then continues on the Questline, Big Jamshed. Along with a few other Characters along the way.
The Questline comes to a hault at Big Jamshed Part 5. Then the Episode Tie-In Pop Up appears.
“Tune into this week’s Simpsons and find out what else Jay plans to do with the Kwik-E-Mart. Sunday 8/7 central on FOX!” (Episode- Much Apu About Something)
If you own Dr. Nick, he will then start a Side Questline. Dr. Nick’s Remedies.
NEW/OLD ITEMS
As soon as you unlock Jay you will also notice a quick pop up..
“Check the store for the limited time clothing and other monuments… the non-metaphorical ones” (You will also see another pop up within the Questline directing you again to the Menu)
New items can now be found in your Menu for donuts. Here are the items I am seeing so far.
Police Tank: 60 Donuts (Has a mini Questline with Wiggum, and YES… it did destroy some buildings in the Questline. Lol.) After I finished the Questline, I was able to tap on the Tank and randomly “Destroy Buildings” around town. They went back to normal after a bit or tapping on them, but it really made me giggle.
Quick & Fresh: 30 Donuts (Has a mini Questline with Jay)
Cool Brown House w/Cool Homer Costume: 120 Donuts (This is a returning item from a long time past. Also a tie-in.)
Liberty Bell- $50,000
Lisa Statue of Liberty- 75 Donuts Should I Buy

There you have it. A Free New Character, possibly some more tie in items coming up, some New Buildings, and the return of a really Cool House and Homer.

Lisa statue of LIberty is also back in my shop. Others commented on the LIberty bell and Lincoln statue, but already have those 😀
I already have the cool brown house but not cool homer, so the combo isnt in my store 🙁 I guess I cant get cool homer
That’s weird, they go together. How did you get the Cool Brown House?
I think she means that since she previously had the house, the combo was not offered to her. But she still wants Cool Homer and can’t get him. Because they’re bundled and the game knows she has the house already so it doesn’t show the offer.
Alissa has same question as me though… they’ve only ever been released as a combo to my knowledge. So curious how she got only the house and not already have him too.
Oh, I see. I assumed that just the house had come out before. Last time it was released (when I really wanted it), I don’t recall it saying it had Cool Homer.
Store your brown house and then re put it back out you will get the new homer
I like getting surprises like this tie-in. And a fully functional character? Woot! (Though I so ever want Kumiko, speaking of tie-ins.)
I made it past the 4 hour start with Sanjay and got Jay (Jay? I’m ready for Jay Sherman, too. 😉 ), but my curiosity on this needed satiated so I came to the interwebs to learn more.
I really need to see this tank in action. I wonder if neighbors can “destroy” buildings, too. Though I won’t be getting it. Man, I need another win on the Golden Scratch-R…
Unrelated, but has anyone had an issue with the imaginary bears not showing up in your neighbor’s towns? My Other Springfield won’t give me imaginary bears to tap and it’s been over 24 hours since I tapped them in Other Springfield. I’ve tried closing the game, shutting down my iPad, even going into Krustyland and back to try and fix it. Nothing is working.
same here. i am going through neighbors right now, noticing that in the towns with no bears, nothing is tappable. i’d expect some brown houses/kwik-e-marts/krusty burgers, but nope.
Yeah, no bears in Other Springfield and ability to tap buildings gone–????
Well, this stinks: Other Springfield has no bears at all, though my friends’ towns do.
However, now ALL bears, even the first ones of the day, only give out 1 pacifier. I’ll know in a few minutes if they at least increased the number of actions that pay out pacifiers to compensate for it.
We also have this problem , we have and start searching for the bears in a kindle, iOS and android devices 🙁

Buildings are no longer tappable in friend towns for the duration of the event.
Imaginary Bears were removed from Other Springfield.
Guess I won’t be able to get extra pacifiers from Other Springfield nor will I be able to get any FP for the next week as Other Springfield is my only “Friend” town. What the heck EA? Soooooo not cool.
In todays update they removed the bears from other SF for some reason. They also removed the ability to tap houses in neighbours towns, now the only option is bears. If you don’t see bears in their town, most likely they haven’t gotten very far in the questline.
See what Ciara said. Also, the update removed bears from Other Springfield. You’ll need to go to human neighbors. If you don’t have any, try the Add Me thread.
Other Springfield only ever had bears (no buildings) and now it has neither. Neighboreenos still have bears for me.
Worse, though, they reduced the payout for ALL friend-bears to 1 pacifier, so you don’t even have the 3-pacifier bonus for the first 10 or so.
Same thing happened to me, very frustrating as I can’t do anything in any of my friends towns.
Since the update I’ve gotten no bears (or anything) to tap in “other Springfield”. In my neighbors’ towns the bears are thankfully still spawning.

It is silly. So far only 3 Buildings keep getting hit in my town. Kwik E Mart, Brown House, and Quick & Fresh.
Any idea how long they disable the neighbor tasks for these events? I was getting on a role with those and it was helping me level up faster also.

Yes! Really wanted the cool brown house last time it came back, but just couldn’t hit spend on the donuts and then of course regretted it the moment it went away. Won’t make that mistake this time!! Police tank sounds interesting and fun. Hoping to see it in someone else’s town before deciding.
Where can i find who earns pacifiers or can somone tell me which characters do? I know the list is small. Thank you!

I would have liked it better if we got Mrs. Berrera last week… Stil, a free character is a free character!
This is the second time the cool brown house has been rereleased (I got it in one of the yard sales.) This is great for new players, but I wish they would rerelease other episode tie-ins. Like Springfield Falls. It’s one of the few things I want and haven’t been able to get. That and the devil donut cart, which is from the same episode as the cool brown house but hasn’t been rereleased that I know of.
It hasn’t been. Not yet. I wish they would bring it back too.
I also have a bell for $50,000 and lincoln statue for $100,000. I also have a Lisa statue of liberty for 75 donuts. Looks exciting!!
Have wanted cool Homer for the longest time so this is good news. Very good news.
