If you’ve been zapping through your tapping and it’s all been a bit of a blur or if you just fancied a reminder of what the writers got up to this time you’re in luck.

Here’s all the dialog and tasks for Act 3 …

What’s in this post:
Act 3 Prize Track: A Rough Approach parts 1 to 5

A Rough Approach, part 1:

Jimmy: Mr. Mayor, we’re running at 50% above capacity, with business continuing to increase. Even with additional hirings we’re experiencing a net profit of money for the city.
Quimby: I don’t understand. Try rephrasing it.
Jimmy: Let’s see… Okay, as we tee up on the ninth…our drive left us with an easy chip shot to the green.
Jimmy: Normally we’d worry about bunkers on both sides of the pin, but it’ll be an easy layup to put this one in the hole with a beautiful birdie putt.
Quimby: Nope, that didn’t help either.

Quimby: Normally when I use city funds to get back at someone, it ends up with me having to talk my way out of handcuffs.
Quimby: But this time, it’s bringing in a bunch of money for the city, and is an overall win for everyone.
Jimmy: And that’s a problem?
Quimby: I’m not sure. I’ve never had this happen before.

Reward: 100 $$s, 10 XP and decoration: Golf Ball Washer

A Rough Approach, part 2:

Smithers: Simpson, wait here while I fill in Mr. Burns.
Homer: Do you mind filling me in?
Smithers: All you need to know is to just keep your mouth shut.
Homer: That’s easier for me when there’s food in it.
Smithers: Mr. Burns, I’ve found my replacement for your match.
Burns: Capital. Who is it?
Smithers: Homer Simpson, sir.
Burns: Simpson…doesn’t ring any bells. Smithers, maybe you should check my bells.
Smithers: Simpson, get in here!
Homer: Yell-lo!
Burns: I don’t know this man.
Smithers: It’s Homer Simpson, sir. He works at your plant, and he’s quite capable on the golf course.
Burns: Hmm. Give me a moment to consider…
Smithers: This won’t take long. He’s an old man. He doesn’t have much considering time left.

Burns: Simpson, you’d better not embarrass me.
Homer: Uh…okay? What’s going on?
Smithers: You will be playing a round of golf with Mr. Burns next week.
Homer: Uh…it’ll be hard to get practice time on the course with the many hours I’m working this week…
Burns: Smithers, give this man the week off to ensure he has enough time to practice.
Homer: It’s been a few years since I played. I could use some new equipment to give me that extra edge…
Burns: Say no more. *gets out his checkbook, writes a check*
Homer: …and some donuts.
Burns: Consider it done. *writes another check*
Homer: …lots of donuts.
Smithers: Get out now, Simpson!

Reward: 100 $$s, 10 XP and skin: Caddy Bart

A Rough Approach, part 3:

Ms Peyton: …and a hexagon has six sides. Any questions?
Homer: *tapping on window* Bart’s teacher, I need to talk to Bart.
Ms Peyton: *opening the window* We are in the middle of a lesson, Mr. Simpson.
Homer: That’s why I’m interrupting from outside the window. Come here, boy.
Bart: What’s going on?
Homer: Need your help with something. It’ll take all week.
Ms Peyton: But Bart will miss heptagons, octagons and possibly dodecagons.
Bart: I’m go-gone-a-gon!

Ms Peyton: You allow this?
Homer: Do I, Bart?
Bart: *signs* He does.
Homer: Come on, boy. We have golf to golf!

Reward: 100 $$s, 10 XP and a Mystery Box token

A Rough Approach, part 4:

Caddy Bart: So, you pulled me out of school for the whole week because you have to play golf with Mr. Burns?
Golfing Homer: Yup. I need a caddy. You’re a caddy.
Caddy Bart: I did that once.

Caddy Bart: Well, your long game sucks, your short game sucks, and your putter is stuck in your belly button.
Golfing Homer: This is going to be a “best ball” tournament, whatever that means…
Caddy Bart: It means the team you’re on would use the best ball from each shot and then all play from that spot.
Caddy Bart: Do you know what Mr. Burns’ game is like?
Golfing Homer: No clue, but I know a way we can find out.
Caddy Bart: I hope it’s something illegal.

Reward: 100 $$s, 10 XP and decoration: Golf Cart

A Rough Approach, part 5: Fore Act 3 Currency Icon

Caddy Bart: This is your brilliant plan? Pretend to look for your ball in the woods while spying on Mr. Burns playing a round?
Golfing Homer: Shut up and duck down behind that log. He’s coming!
Burns: All right, Smithers. How many shots is that?
Smithers: That was your, er…second shot, sir.
Burns: I could have sworn I hit it three times in the fairway back there…
Smithers: Yes, but there was, um…interference from the wind, and a squirrel chittering. The PGA says that means two free shots.
Burns: Capital. Quick, hand me my pitching wedge! Ooo! There goes a butterfly! Two more free shots!

Burns: It’s close enough for me to glare at the ball and scare it in!
Caddy Bart: Gotta give the old man credit. He’s good around the greens.
Caddy Bart: Your tee shots can make up for his old man noodle arms, and his approach shots can make up for your noodle head chip shots.
Caddy Bart: You two might actually be able to pull this off!
Golfing Homer: When do donuts come into play?
Caddy Bart: They don’t.
Golfing Homer: I’m gonna need some time to think about this.

Reward: 200 $$s, 20 XP and pet: Golf Course Aligator
