Marge: You were faking that!
Bart: Gotta have something to do while I’m playing hooky!
Marge: That’s it. It’s summer, and you’re going to find a summer job to pay your father and I back for this.
Bart: Ugh. Fine. But I’m looking up the child labor laws in this state!

• Make Bart Apply for a Summer Caddying Job – 4 hours

Caddy Bart: Ugh, responsibilities suck!
Chadlington: Don’t worry. I’ve set you up with some of our newer members, so they won’t be expecting as much.
Cletus: This place sure is fancy, Brandine! With all this grass, our goats will have a chompin’ field day!
Caddy Bart: I’m a newbie caddying for a bunch of rube-ies.

Cletus: So I just hit this here ball with my stick?
Caddy Bart: That’s the idea, yes.
Brandine: And what kind of critters do we kill with it?
Caddy Bart: You’re trying to hit it into that hole with the flag in it.
Cletus: *squinting* A gopher hole! Brandine, get yer gopher gravy recipe ready. Weez eat’n good tonight!
Drederick Tatum: Excuse me, I’m supposed to meet my partner here?
Caddy Bart: Drederick Tatum?
Drederick Tatum: In the flesh.
Cletus: Yooze a big gopher!
Caddy Bart: No. He’s your partner. You’re playing golf with him.
Brandine: Cletus, if you see yer chance, knock that big gopher out and we’ll get him in the stew pot.

Caddy Bart: And Mr. Tatum holed out in four.
Cletus: Hill folk beat boxin’ folk every time!
Caddy Bart: The goal is to get the lowest score, not the highest one.
Cletus: What kinda world are we livin’ in?!

Cletus: *scratches chin* Do I play my spade, my hoe, or my pointy shovel?
Caddy Bart: Wait, what? Why do you need a shovel? You’ll tear up the course.
Brandine: Cletus heard good golfers dig their balls outta the deep grass.
Cletus: I figure, if you can dig it out of deep grass, why not dig it out of the short grass, too?
Caddy Bart: No, hold on!

Cletus: Woo-eee, Mr. Tatum. You hit that goose egg on the green again. How d’ya keep doin’ that?
Drederick Tatum: Probably just beginner’s luck.
Cletus: Would you let me rub up against ya and get some of that beginner’s luck slathered on me?
Drederick Tatum: Sorry, I wasn’t planning on rubbing on anyone today.
Caddy Bart: Cletus, maybe try rubbing against this lucky tree.

Cletus: I’d like to thank you too, boy. Brandine, give ‘im somethin’ for his trouble.

Cletus: Yup! Heez a good one too — hardly bites at all!
Caddy Bart: Thank you, but my mom won’t let me bring home little brothers.
Cletus: Aww, heck. My bad.
Drederick Tatum: Here ya go, Bart. I’ll cover this hillbilly’s tip. *hands Bart two hundred dollars*
Caddy Bart: Wow! Thanks, Mr. Tatum!
Chadlington: So, you made it through 18 holes and both golfers are happy. Well done!
Caddy Bart: Uh-oh. I just realized that this money is only half of what I needed.
