Overview:

When Krusty’s show is on verge of bankruptcy he decides to open a School for the Clowning Arts with an old acquittance by the name of Little Debbie Dimples. It isn’t long before the school starts booming and attendance is through the roof. Not only has Bart signed up, but so has Sophie Krustofsky. If that wasn’t enough, even Rainier Wolfcastle’s son, Dieter, has joined up.

Things come crashing down, however, when the city of Springfield attempts to close the school on the grounds that clowning isn’t considered art. Principal Skinner is the one heading up the lawsuit, along with Reverand Lovejoy and Chief Wiggum, and they mean business. Judge Snyder orders that the matter be settled by trial-by-amusement, so it’s up to Krusty to get his students ready for the trial of the century. Well, considering this is Springfield, more like the trial of the month.

What EA said: Act 1 Story

On the verge of bankruptcy, Krusty decides to drink his problems away at Mussel & Flanks, where he bumps into another fellow clown, Leaky Pants. The two commiserate about the good ol’ days, until Krusty gets completely hammered. However, things begin to turn around when Little Debbie Dimples spots Krusty in the restaurant and helps sober him up. The two get to talking about post-TV clown life, and how working birthday parties for kids isn’t so bad because parents will pay anything to get away from their kids. That’s when Krusty comes up with his next get-rich-quick scheme, they’ll open a school for the clowning arts and make a fortune! Little Debbie Dimples likes the idea of helping train a new generation of clowns, so she agrees to help.
