Maximising the cash and Donuts
Why ?
Why get loads of sprinkles ?
There’s a whole heap of returning content plus the stuff always in store you may not have got round to getting before if you still want to add to your town.
Why start farming ?
Don’t !! Read the post !!

( ^^ That’s my Donut count from Halloween 2020 )
A quick bio.
Because there was a risk sharing my actual count could end up with people thinking about cheating all I usually said was I had an insane amount of Donuts, but that no longer applies.
A few of you already know this story …
In 2019 I got inspired to start grinding and set myself a crazy target. I’d only grind for a few weeks at a time though, either losing motivation or getting fed up with Bart spoiling the party when the servers went pop.
After well over a thousand hours of solid grinding spread over three years I finally hit my target …

That was back in early 2022. With these new in-store trades, once I finally faced opening my game(s) to see the end-of-days splash and quest, I decided to go bulk-buy with a new target in mind.
This one only took an hour or so to hit …

As you can see, I’m no stranger to going getting vast amounts of Donuts, but with the recent changes there’s some things I’d do differently.
Remember these are my thoughts, it’s your game to tap how you want.
Some tips …
Forget farming.
Unless you have a bonus in the region of 40,000% you’ll get more just buying those Ds instead of buying and selling trucks to farm, and it’ll save you time mucking about opening all the boxes.
Forget retries.
Why spend $50,000 trying for an extra Donut or two when you can buy 9 Ds for $7,500. It’s not worth the time, effort or money.
Forget the Collider ?
If you’re not actively levelling up then the $$s mean more than the XP. Use the cash for sprinkles and don’t bother opening a few extra boxes a day.
Bonus is still key.
Every 100% pays the earnings of everything you tap on top of the basic rate. If your town doesn’t earn that much buying a load of items to boost the bonus will take less room than building a whole heap of extra houses etc.
I’d say aim for 1,400% and you’ll get 15 times the payout from everything.
Of note: Taps pt.1 has the Christmas Totem, 2.5% for 10 Ds – bargain
Rush SkyFinger.
It’s something I’ve done for years anyway but never mentioned in case it was decided it was a glitch to patch, and something some of you may have noticed.
Collect with SkyFinger and reload your town and you get paid twice.
NOTE: Let the counters catch up before reloading or it won’t get it all !!
That’s not just double the income from buildings, if you collect a Token from the GGR or a Map from the Shack you get a second one of those too.
How often depends on what your town earns, but if you use 60 Ds rushing every 4 hours and earn $75,000 plus an extra $75,000 it’s enough to go buy 90 Ds.
You might think that’s just breaking even, but it’s saving you time too and those bigger older towns will get way more.
I used to figure it gave me enough to truck-farm 200 more sprinkles, now it’s an extra 1,600 Ds pack !!
Rush God ?
This one’s from the comments. Personally my towns have a big enough bonus to earn easy but God’s 24 hour job pays $777,777 and is 260 Ds to rush.
For smaller towns or lower bonuses make use of the job but perhaps don’t rush, the income is huge compared to anything else.
A 286% bonus will get $3 million just from that job alone. At 1,400% it’s over $11.6 million.
Consider grinding…
Buy smaller donut packs.
As Safi laid out in his earlier post the smaller the pack the more you get for your money, but you will spend more time buying them.
Grind and trade.
If cash is an issue scrape up $3 million then go and buy 400 lots of 9 Donuts to give you 3,600 Ds. Trade 1,600 Ds for $3 million and you get your money back plus 2,000 Ds that cost you nothing but time.
Rush the GGR.
If you still have land to get use Tokens. You can rush 100 Tokens in about 12 minutes and it’ll cost 1,200 Donuts to do it. On the new land that’d save you $100 million, so you could use $99 million to get 52,800 Donuts buying 33 of the biggest packs or even more if you get the smaller packs.
Some of the more expensive earlier land only needs a token or two to save you $3 million or more.
Back soon with the Dialog Recap then I’ll start researching the Returning Content to get those posted one Wave at a time. Wave 3 hits today.

test
I am keeping the Collider on. One because of habit, and two because I earn gobs of $ to turn into gobs of Sprinkles. I send all my characters on 24 hr. jobs at the Office of Unemployment and cash in every day. 660+ characters all working for sprinkles now. And also for gold road tiles at the billionaires club.
I have been trying to afford the billionaire club before game ends but don’t have enough game cash. As things wind down what is a quick way to get the most cash or the cheapest way to buy the club. Tapping away until the end!
You’ll need to do the tasks for Cecil which means money.
To get the most see these two tips from the post :
Build your bonus.
Grind and Trade – only in this case spend $3.5 million on 400 9 Ds packs and trade 3,200 Ds from the 3,600 you get for your money back and an extra $3.5 million – 4 lots of 400 x 9 Ds would earn you $17.5 million if you also trade those extra 400 Ds when it hits 1,600 left over.
if you run out of cash 1600 donuts only cost 850 donuts or so.. so its free donuts
Thanks for the tip on reloading Sky Finger. Wish I’d known that a long time ago! I’m building cash to buy Beloved Billionaires Club. Is there a way to turn Springfield Heights $ into ‘real’ money? Also, is anyone else getting what seems to be unlimited Shattered Dreams tokens and therefore unlimited boxes of dozens D’s?
Thanks for the tips! I reloaded the Collider for years, never wondered it only had effect on the XP.. So that save me a lot of time not to reloaded anymore. And the $777.777 for the 24 job for God.. I have lot of my characters to 8 and 4 hours jobs (that save me a lot of tapping). So for years God was on a 4 hous job. But that changed now. Aim for cash to get the golden road as far as possible in January, for my final movies..
Sadly you can’t rush the job for the golden road tiles.
BTW, it doesn’t cost any cash to go from 1 donut to 2 donuts to 3 donuts.
If you’re hitting a “Retry” on those pick-a-box Donuts it definitely does.
Look at the price on the Retry buttons, minimum $50,000 so 2 Retries will cost at least $100,000.
You might not realise if doing it with Bonuts while collecting, because the boxes stop you seeing what money you are earning.
For awhile the $50,000 wasn’t appearing when choosing to go for more donuts.
Thanks so much for keeping the blog going. It’s nice to see. I have to admit, I haven’t touched my game in like a week because it’s not so much for me as the community. Im gonna tap a little bit and read some more comments and I will see you all tomorrow. by the way, my username is 1usedtobeinBK
I recognize that name from a friends list! I used to be Brianna092970 (or some form of those random numbers) now I’m Mistabinx1031
Hi old neighbor! I think we may have been friends in my old town, you’re not on my current list
Hello Mistabinx
You’re one of a few for my newest town.
I have 3 towns on the go …
I’m honored!
Glad you posted re the name change – had notes on the invites I sent and been trying to figure out who that was !!
That’s too funny! I’ve looked at the name and wondered what the odds were it could be you but I didn’t think it was!
Don’t judge my town too hard. I’m not very creative in general and now with the apocalypse looming Ive gone full rogue on decor.
I did not know about the sky finger thing – good to know! Alas, I cannot switch off my collider.. going from blue to pink makes me twitch, so given – like you – I have over the farming years amassed quite a few ( thousands or so) donuts I will sacrifice a few to keep the XP blue!
I don’t get the ‘kar-angry’ comments – so we have an an end in sight? Yes, I would rather we didn’t but we do – so would rather spend the time I have finessing my lil ole town, making the arrangements I always meant to make over the past 12 years, and grabbing the few bits I never managed to, with the bonus new tasks along the way. Then I will video it all, with the more amusing sounds , screenshot away and remember the 12 years of fun ( and sometimes irritation and grinding..) with a smile because I outlasted my kids in my obsession and saw it through. Now… off so send all my stonecutters back to their tasks, and find Mona to sit on the bench for the last few months with Grandpa .
I always have to get my Stonecutters Singing the Stonecutter Song. Also like to put Homer on the Stone of Triumph. Love the animations.
Why not let people use thier money to buy things they didn’t get in the lasted games its only fair
There’s a whole heap of returning content in 5 sections.
We got the first 3 so far, 2 more weeks until they’re all out.
it isn’t everything ever, but not far off
you know…I am annoyed…
what the heck is the bloody point of giving us all this stuff from past events if it’s gettin killed and erased in a couple months?
I want to keep believing it’s a ruse…not true that it’s ending…but jow in just annoyed and hate even looking in the game…ssd days…
So…this feels a bit like someone who has been hoarding gold for years, in case of a zombie apocalypse…and then finds out that there is a giant comet streaking toward earth, that is going to destroy everything on a very easily predictable date.
“Having it all” doesn’t mean much the day after oblivion.
But………yes. I get it. I was hoarding land. No more. I had loads of stuff in storage. No more. I can see the calendar, and know that I have a very finite amount of time to make my town “perfect.” And then will spend a week trying to preserve it with screen shots and videos.
I am thankful for the plethora of donuts. I’m still mourning the inevitable.
Why? Why? Why?
Because we can.
I wasn’t happy, am not happy
But until January am going to be a Happy Tapper.
How do you reload your town? I tried rushing Skyfinger, closing TSTO and reopening it, but I didn’t get the bonus. I figure I’m doing something wrong.
Pop to the Friends Towns bit and back is my go-to.
Make sure it’s finished collecting first !!
Ohhh. I see. That worked! I was thinking the Skyfinger resets, but it’s just that you get the payout twice. I compared my cost before and after reload and it was there. Thank you!
Maybe missed my point? At this stage, why care about returning content… the game “gave up on us”, and you’d only get to see it in your town for a few months anyway??? I know you’ve gotta write something but… I just don’t get it? 😢
If you read all the recent comments there are many of us still tapping and working to get things for our pocket towns.
It’s up to each of you to decide if you want to or if you feel it’s a waste.
As I said in the post …
Remember these are my thoughts, it’s your game to tap how you want.
If you can capture your town in a photo or series of screen shots…you can look at it and reminisce forever!
And “the game gave up on us”…give me a break. Typical entitled person…everything is about you and your feelings right. How dare they hurt my feelings like this!
Wow – you know you don’t have to say everything you think, right? You’re free to see her as “entitled” (I see it more as someone who is upset and frustrated and may just need more time to come to grips with things to bring perspective to it), but there’s no call for actually insulting someone here. There’s some value to the old adage, “If you don’t have something nice to say about someone, maybe don’t say anything at all.” Let’s all work to go out on a high note, okay? Frankly, I’m surprised your comments made it through moderation, the way they were worded. Personal attacks are giving me unpleasant flashbacks to a few years ago, when I was unjustifiably on the receiving end of them from a certain person here.
I make videos so I can enjoy the animations and sounds also.
Great post & I get it but why gather huge amounts of donuts now the game is ending ?
Just for the sake of it I assume ?
Added a note to the post:
Why get loads of sprinkles ?

Replied to that hours ago, why ask again ?
A few months are a few months. And some people are still enjoying decorating and some those people are planning to memorialize their “finished” town in a picture that they can use by itself, or by turning it into something else (like a jigsaw puzzle or something). Others are enjoying the challenge of reaching certain totals, like max cash or a certain number of donuts. If you read the comments in some of the earlier posts about the end of the game (and even some of the ones in recent posts), you’ll see people explaining these various activities/goals that they’re enjoying.
And, as I said to Sillyboy, if you knew you were going to die in four months, would you kill yourself now or try to enjoy the time you have left?
Because it is the journey that counts. Why play a game (cards, board, sports, …) when you know it is going to end? Ever build something with Legos knowing you have to break it down later?
Just curious…why would anyone want to start donut farming now?

How about “just because”.
Just curious…what bothers you about what anyone does in their game. Why do you feel the need to ask why anyone plays the way they do? Why judge people and say things like…what’s the point…or there’s no use.
Nobody should care what I think of course…but why do you have that negative tone…to question others ideas or opinions on the game..does it make you feel like you are above others? Like…”what a bunch of dummies…farming when the game is ending”…well I think you are the dummy.
I was going to get personal and start psycho analyzing you for your comment….but it took me 2 seconds to determine and realize you’re the type that would not learn anything from such an analysis…and actually wouldn’t even understand said analysis.
I was with you for the first three sentences, but then you turned unnecessarily insulting, which is ironic for someone giving someone else a hard time for being negative about others. You kinda lost the moral high ground there.
