Due to POPULAR request….we’ve moving up our open thread time so that our friends outside of the US can participate too! Let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Now…enough rambling from me….it IS Sunday and you know what that means, right? Time for another Open Thread!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.
So…here is your Open Thread. No new Simpsons tonight…but the Superhero Event winds down this week. What did you think of Issue 4? Have you completed it yet? What do you think the next event will bring? Our Meet and Greet was last night, we met a lot of you wonderful readers! Were you there? Did you have fun hanging out with fellow Addicts? Last week of Spring Training in baseball, is your team ready for the season? More College basketball action tonight, so far 2 teams have made it to the Final Four which 2 will be next?

Sorry, neighborhood – life took over today (I actually spent most of the day OUT!!), and it’s too late now for me do my friendvilles tour, so I’ll have to skip it today. So, sorry I won’t be leaving handshakes for you (and potentially collecting donuts for me!).
I saw someone earlier post about resetting their town. How often do you do this? The last few days, I have only been removing hand shakes and leaving untouched buildings. Almost all my neighbors visit daily. Yesterday, I only had 10 visit in a (15 hour period). I checked again last night and a few more had stopped by. The buildings appeared tappable to me. Do I need to reset? If it were only a few that didn’t stop by, I wouldn’t think much of it, but 50+ of my daily visitors didn’t tap.
Sounds like a post-event issue. Pretty normal for this soon after a big event. I for one will most likely not be visiting my neighbooreenos today because I was up so late last night doing it. My first eligible visitation isn’t until 1:45 am, so I will likely just start again first thing Saturday. That maybe an example of what you are experiencing.

You know you’re an addict when… So, I got this thing in the mail from Verizon (a cable, mobile, internet, phone company, for my non-U.S. friends here) that said the, if I was willing to have a “quick chat” on the phone with one of their sales reps, I could get a $10 Amazon gift card. And all I could think was, “WooHoo! Free donuts!”
It actually was a fairly short, painless discussion and I should have my gift card in three days (and a bunch of new donuts shortly after that, unless the guilt kicks in and I decide I should just keep the money in my Amazon account for more mundane purposes…).

I have my cell phone service with them, too, so maybe that’s why I got the offer. But it wasn’t via a call, it was a letter I received (it sometimes pays to read junk mail lol!), which said I had to call them and give them a certain (personalized?) code that was on the letter.
I got the letter a couple of weeks ago (I think) and then it got buried until I yesterday, when I came across out again and figured, “why not?” (I don’t mind sitting through sales pitches that much to get something good…unfortunately, my husband does, so I can’t take advantage of the stuff you can get for sitting through time-share spiels, because they insist that you have your spouse with you if you’re married.)
So, bottom line, check your junk mail from the past couple of weeks, if you still have it lying around somewhere!
Early yesterday morning I was visiting neighbors and I came across one particular neighbor whose town gave me not one, but two donuts. One on my first tap, one on my second. While collecting that second donut, I accidentally tagged the building it was sitting on (if you read this, sorry Elizabeth). Anyway, looking around, I saw that she had Wizard Marge sitting on the steps of the school, doing the “Put on a Magic Show” action, and that in the little smoke puff, it kept alternating between a brick, a donut, and a bunny. A donut. Hmmm, a donut. Fast forward, I have my Wizard Marge doing the same task. If any of my neighbors, many of whom are regulars here, notice donuts dropping when you visit, speak up. Perhaps there is something to this. Of course, it’s probably just a coincidence but two donuts from the same neighbor on the same visit is pretty rare and if there is something that improves the odds, it’s worth testing. Not like Marge doesn’t really enjoy doing those magic shows anyway!
Sorry Slimbolina! I was trying to move my screen and my thumb slipped and tagged your school. And sorry to anyone else I’ve ever tagged. It’s all by mistake I promise. I do my best to only tap houses if I can but accidents happen. I’ll try harder. ☺
