It’s that time again! Halloween is right around the corner and already some of my favorite theme parks are all decked out for the festivities. Of course, that means a new Treehouse of Horror episode for my favorite cartoon and even better, the 4th Halloween Event for TSTO. I can’t believe I’ve been playing this game for almost three years but have to admit it was premium offerings in October 2012 that first got me to shell out cash to EA.
But what does this have to do with yours truly? Well… I used to regularly post about things I’d like to see in the game. Over time, I decided it was more appropriate to highlight what y’all want but every once in a while I still wrote about my own ideas. Over time, these slowed but more and more often, items I picked out showed up in the game. Whether that has anything to do with me is a battle between coincidence and hubris. Anywho… My favorite time to do this is Halloween and I saw a comment or two about if I was going to do another “What a Wookiee Wants” for Halloween 2015 so I decided why the heck not? If for no other reason, it gave me an excellent excuse to hold a personal Treehouse of Horror marathon. That exercise alone made this whole post worth it.
The resulting list is items I saw while watching that made me think…. “Oooh, oooh, that’d be so cool in the game.” I tried hard to steer clear of the usual zombies, vampires, mutants items that are obvious choices (although any of those could be fun). Initially my list was much longer but I ended up shortening it during my second pass. Fair warning, this doesn’t imply that my list is short just that a while ago in a galaxy much closer to you than some would like it was longer lol. You’ll notice some THOH episdoes were excluded completely. In fairness, a lot of these items are repeats from my wish list last year but I did purposely avoid reading last year’s post before writing this one. I guess a fuzzball wants what a fuzzball wants. Without further ado or aplomb… click more if you’re interested in just WHAT a wookiee wants for Halloween.
I have to start off with my biggest wish for this Halloween, an Island of Dr. Hibbert event. This idea comes from “Treehouse of Horror XIII” (S14:E1). It might be just be that I enjoy the fiction of H.G. Wells or the 1996 film with Marlon Brando, but I think it’d be awesome to see all the folks of Springfield as their animal versions.
Panther Marge, Turkey Frink, Cow Flanders, Spider Bart, Owl Lisa, Anteater Maggie (hint hint EA), Walrus Homer, Kangaroo Skinners, Rooster Grampa, the Possum Nahasapeemapetilons, Eagle Arnie Pye, Warthog Barney, Moose BHL, Armadillo Carl, Pig Wiggums, Ram CBG, Sloth Cletus, Bat Dewey Largo, Disco Shrew, Hyena Mrs. Krabappel, Tiger Dolph, Squirrely Dr. Nick, Koala Duffman, Giraffe Gil, Beaver Fat Tony, Orangutan Willy, Tortoise Moleman, Goat Jasper, Hippo Judge Snyder, Rhino Kent Brockman, Lion Krusty, Guinea Pig Luigi, Sheep Martin, Snail Milhouse, Elephant Selma, Peacock Ralph, Panda Quimby, Flamingo Smithers… an actual Bumblebee Man and the list goes on! How cool could this be?
This would really embiggen our fun IMHO. We could also get The Island of Lost Souls, Hibbert’s Mansion, a new plane or those cute beach cabanas.
While I think all these skins in an event could be super fun, it might be a programming fustercluck so I’m not gonna hold my breath. Here’s some other things I thought would be rad ideas for Halloween 2015.
Treehouse of Horror II (S3:E7)
Severed Monkey Paw – this could be a fun questline… we could also get some neat additions to our towns based on wishes.
As a fan of the twilight zone, it could also be bodacious to have a questline with Bart’s gnarly powers turning people into grotesque nightmares if they thought unhappy thoughts. I really would love the Homer Jack in the Box, Jasper as a dog and the weird Snowball skin.
Apologies but I really like this THOH. What about a task for Homer & Burns to be connected a la “Homer’s Nightmare”? I think what I really want though is the Homer Robot.
Treehouse of Horror V (S6:E5)
Of all the items in this episode, what I want most is the Shinning Mansion. Seems like it’d fit right in with all the Springfield Heights stuff. It’d be awesome if it boosted real estate value by a ton too.
Treehouse of Horror VI (S7:E6)
Giant Advertising Mascots like Lard Lad, the Zip Boys, etc. and a Freddy skin for Willy. The Nightmare on Elm Street series are my favorite horror films.
Treehouse of Horror VIII (S9:E4)
Mixed up Santa’s Little Helper and Snowball? Super Fly? Fly-headed Bart? These three could bring back the Alpha and Omega Transporters from last Halloween. We could also get Witch skins for Patty & Selma.
Treehouse of Horror IX (S10:E4)
Does it really need to be said that we need Rigellian Maggie! C’mon EA… now’s your chance to bring us our favorite baby three years late!
Treehouse of Horror X (S11:E4)
The graffiti car, Funworld, Spooky Roller Disco and Werewolf Flanders please.
I guess I could add Stretch Dude & Clobber Girl to my list but I’m really holding out for them in a Superheroes Part Deux Update. We could get the candy x-ray machine or Xena or any of the other characters in mylar really. Also a good excuse to bring back The Collector.
Treehouse of Horror XIV (S15:E1)
Maybe we’ll see the Grim Reaper or Homer when he took over the job?
Frinkenstein has been a fan favorite mentioned more than once. I agree with all those folks and would love this character to be added but I think it wouldn’t be as awesome without Jerry Lewis’ voice.
Treehouse of Horror XVI (S17:E4)
Remember that long Pinocchio sci-fi tale starring Haley Joel Osment? Well, the Simpsons lampooned that too and Robo-Tot David and Cyborg Bart could be great in TSTO.
This episode also had a great tale with the citizens of Springfield being cursed by a witch and turned into the Halloween costumes they were wearing.
Admittedly, I just really want to see artoo detoo Apu and (hint hint EA), Maggie is in this episode too! All of Springfield could be turned into pacifiers by her and we could tap them to make them normal again?
Treehouse of Horror XVII (S18:E4)
For all my friends who want more Jewish items in the game… the Golem of Prague and his play-doh lady golem wife are my picks from this episode. Perfect choices for NPCs or even better, a super funny side questline.
Treehouse of Horror XX (S21:E4)
Frankenstein’s monster, Mummy, Dracula and Wolfman! They could be a lot of fun and come with the costume store they go to. Heck, I think it’d be hilarious for them to be dressed up in their costumes.
Treehouse of Horror XXI (S22:E4)
Ok… I know I previously said I didn’t want “Tweenlight” Edmund but I think I changed my mind. Maybe I want more love for Lisa or Edmund’s Dad or MAYBE, just maybe, I don’t think we’ll ever see Werepoodle Milhouse without his addition lol.
Treehouse of Horror XXIII (S24:E2)
How about Moe gets some love this Halloween? A demon skin for him works for me. Of course, anyone who knows this episode knows this is a completely seperate character. That works too and could have a fun task carrying Maggie (hint hint EA) around in a baby carrier.
And what about Professor Frink’s Time Machine? I’ve recently been watching Back to the Future a lot so this seems like just the car to add. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention this could connect to getting any number of the United Federation of Homers Throughout History.
Phew… lots of stuff I want. Probably not the best idea to watch twenty five episodes and then formulate a list either. What do you think? Anything in particular that caught your fancy? Think EA would get my dropped hints for Maggie? Got something you want I didn’t mention?
Obviously all this can’t be added but a fuzzball can dream. Truth is, EA has already designed the update but I’m excited to see which (if any) items from this list were picked by them too. If anything, they could use this post for Halloween 2016. Sound off in the comments and boo to you friends! I’m ready for all the Halloween goodness already!

I can’t wait!! This is my first official year of actually playing the game ( I was an on and off player for two years 😳) I have little things from the past years but I’m excited because I’m an official addict
Not sure if this is relevant in any way, but today while visiting friends I saw a lot of the kids dressed up in their Halloween costumes with the little trick or treat buckets. I know it is just the game assigning random outdoor tasks but It sure looks like the Halloween tasks are activated again somewhere in the bowels of the game 🙂
Why Snake Jailbird was a Skunk and not a Snake surprised me, though they used him as The Serpant in the Adam and Eve Biblical episode.
I am at the edge of my seat waiting for it to drop and once it starts I can brainstorm all the things they can add in the (Assumabley) other acts of the event. And be mad that they didn’t do such and such.
besides the spoiler about our favorite evil mastermind, I wonder what if anything, could be a new episode tie in.
My gut feeling is an invasion like previous years. I did like the TPing trees and egging houses of a previous year also. There is so much they can do. My favorite THOH episodes is probably the one with the Toaster Timemachine (and anything from that segment), and the Forbidin Donut (need Donut Head Homer -fearing it’ll cost us our own hard earned Donuts if we want that).
I know our Tap Ball feild stays quiet but I thought it would be cool to have a Monster Vs Monster battle.
maybe a Bloodbank? Simpsons Couch turned monster? Something that even I wouldn’t be able to imagine (but I can’t imagine that)? 😛
Great post Wookiee! Halloween is my absolute favourite time of year and this is only my second TSTO halloween so I definitely have high hopes for this year’s event :D. Though it may be a tad ambitious, I really really REALLY want an island of Dr. Hibbert event. Just the thought of all those skins…..beyond cool! I also wouldn’t mind anything from THOH VI (my first experience with THOH was a rerun and the groundskeeper willie bit had me hooked) or something with werewolf flanders because the my dad and I have a running joke about fog walks lol. And of course, I’ve been impatiently waiting all year and I have my little heart set on purchasing the bad dream house. I think it’s my favourite building in the entire game; I just love that episode and the animation. Bring on the spooky, EA!
I love every character from Simpson especially from Halloween event, I just wish they will give us more interesting outdoor task.

I’d love to have the vampire skin for Grandpa and also a Skeletal Grim Reaper. The Universal Monsters would be amazing as well so lets hope EA does us a kindness and releases all that good stuff.

Something I’d love to see: joint tasks between Lunchlady Doris and Jimbo called “Cook Sloppy Jimbos”, And one between LLD and Uter called “Cook Uterbrauten” (for those who have the little German).
If we had Homer as Death for this year’s event, maybe you could visit friends and tap characters to “kill” them in order to get points/items/whatever. And then, to revive them, you (in your town) have to tap your “dead” characters again to gain the same thing.
It’s a little morbid, but hey – Homer didn’t exactly use his powers for good in that episode 🙂
Side-note: anyone else holding off on visiting many friends or sending characters off on long tasks in hopes that the THoH event starts this week?

Halloxmas. I remember at the end of a THOH that it switched to a Peanuts Xmas ending. So, it’s possible.
I totally love the idea of Island of Dr. Hibbert! That would be to awesome. The Shinning Mansion would also be great.
It would be cool if we had a quest line for Springfield and totally separate one for those of us who have Krustyland. The animatronic Itchys and Scratchys could run amok…or maybe they could be running all over Springfield too. I hardly visit my Krustyland but it would be cool to incorporate it into the event.

I would love to see a “Welcome to Pennsylvania” sign, and Count Burns’ Castle. And as much as I love having the Springfield cemetery in my town, I wish they would allow you to design/build it the way you do most other things in the game.
I think it would be a stretch to theme an entire event around just one segment, but I’d LOVE it if the “things” we need to clear/squash from the town periodically this year (like the rigellian babies) were the Homer clones from “Send In The Clones”, TOH XIII.
I hope they bring back the clown bed. I should have bought it and didn’t and I have regretted it ever since. A girl can hope.
How about a zombie skin for George Washington, or zombie Flanders.

Love your list, Wookie. This is my first Halloween playing TSTO and Halloween is one of my favorite holidays (toss up with Thanksgiving); I’m incredibly excited for pumpkin decorations and whatnot.
Being an obsessed X-Phile, I think I’d most like to see Mulder and Scully (and a return of the Mr. Burns “alien”). The Freddy skin for Willy would also be very exciting, even though I could never get into movies like Nightmare on Elm Street, I loved that episode. Witch Marge is my most coveted skin, and having Selma and Patty witch skins would also be great. Couldn’t say no to Raven Bart either.

I may be going against the majority with my next 2 comments but in some ways, I think a smaller/shorter Halloween event would be preferable for me after the release of huge amounts of content in Springfield Heights and the Monorail. Also, I’m not sure if Maggie is ever going to be released, I just can’t see EA having a baby walking around the town on its own, it would always have to be with another character. I know it isn’t real but I just thought it would be a bit weird to have a baby crawling around town when not on a task.

My one and only wish for the Halloween theme this year is an Island of Dr. Hibbert motif. I’d love to have all of those skins. That was incredibly executed, and not taking advantage of it would be a waste. Everyone’s animal hybrids were perfection. If it doesn’t happen this Halloween, I’m pretty sure we’ll see it happen one year soon. 🙂
As far as returning items, I’ve been waiting for King Snorky, the Twirl-n-hurl, and Bad Dream House… as well as Bart’s raven. I started playing with just under a week left of the Halloween event last year, so my TSTO anniversary is coming up. I really wanted to get Snorky and the Twirl, but I missed out and was freemium as a noob. I’ve been coveting those two as well as Bad Dream House and the Raven. My 3 favorite THOH moments are the raven (my favorite poem when I was a kid), bad dream house (because YES), and in the number one slot, The Shinning hotel (my favorite scary movie of all time, but I won’t say the name because I don’t want to get sued 😉 ). If we get the Shinning, I really hope we get to hear Homer say, “No TV and no beer make Homer something something.” Simpsons at their finest.
