So… Yesterday was Father’s Day here in the U.S. but we missed something even more important. What was it? Who could be so selfless that they didn’t call attention to themselves and let the day be about fuzzy knuckleheads like me instead? Here’s a hint… She’s Amazing!
That’s right… Yesterday was Alissa’s birthday and while I’m certain she enjoyed it, I couldn’t let it slide by on the site without mentioning it. She’s the glue that holds this site together and one of the most patient and kind humans I have the honor of knowing. I think it’s proof positive that she would let her special day slide by without making a fuss.
Even though we’re a day late, I thought it’d be nice to throw up a post as a giant birthday card for her. Throw your thoughts and wishes in the comments and let’s all let the boss lady know how awesome we all know she is.

any kind in particular? patron silver… man that brings me back, was by far the best/smoothest tequila i had in my heyday! traditionally we always did hennessy shots on birthdays, but it was replaced by patron for a few years, and then courvoisier….. now it’s just good ol craft beer! 🙂

ah man, a mother’s birthday on father’s day, did you guys do that dance where neither one wanted to make a big deal out of their special day for the sake of the other? or did you guys go all out and have an extra splurgy day of fun with the family?
we were planning to hit up the beach yesterday, but it was just so freakin hot we ended up chillin at home, watching the padres game with the AC on full blast. it’s even hotter today….

We had a very low key day just my hubby, riley and I. (we did go out to breakfast with my family though…) It was nice…and exactly what all three of us needed! 🙂
