Chili Cook-Off Pro Tip: Grow Corn

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Quick tip for y’all….Grow Corn! As in, start it right now. Before you complete Part 2 of It’s Not the Heat, It’s the Humidity…where you unlock the ability to grow Peppers at Cletus’ Farm, start growing Corn. And turn on your XP Collider (if you’re someone who uses it, and willing to grind out some XP to get more donuts. Otherwise don’t worry about the collider…)

Once you complete Part 2 of It’s Not the Heat, It’s the Humidity the corn will Auto-Complete for you.

This will ONLY work if you start growing corn prior to completing part 2.

I can confirm, this works. I sacrificed some donuts in my game to test.

So start growing and good luck!

Hi There, Energy Eaters (and Inspectors of Safety)

I have been able to time travel relatively safely without the use of radioactive materials. It is safe to say that “Safety” is no joking matter, but neither is tying a boulder around ones waist, but on January 21st 1990 it was a simpler time perhaps and thus those things were indeed a joking matter. Like Homer, I too had my darkest moments turn to a purposeful mission. What? You want to know more? …Fine, so I was playing TSTO while there was a lull in the game between one event to another and I realized something, I can write a Post about old episodes!! :p

It’s Chili Cook-Off time in Springfield! Gather up those Insanity Peppers and get ready to lose your mind, as we take a journey with the residents of our pocket-sized Springfields for the hottest Chili known to man!

Of course, as with all events, a questline comes with it to help move us through the ins and outs of the event…and unlock all of the prizes. As was mentioned on the rundown post this mini event is similar to the previous mini-events (like Deep Space Homer and the Fire Department), in that you’ve got to complete various tasks to unlock the prizes.

So let’s take a look at the questline to see just how to unlock all the fun chili inspired prizes and take a ride on the insanity side…

In-Game Update: Chili Cook-off!

Note: If you’re thinking about buying donuts…wait until tomorrow. Tomorrow, June 3rd, is donuts day! So hold off on buying donuts until you see what’s coming tomorrow. Thanks to LPN for pointing this out. I saw the dates in the files, but for some reason thought today was the 3rd. So when nothing triggered I figured it was just incorrect coding. Of course in the end it was just me who apparently really wishes it was Friday lol

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Well…it’s time for the next big thing in TSTO…the Chili Cook-off! (Can you hear Ciara’s squeals of excitement? ;))

Homer gets things going in our games with a 6s task to Drink Beer with Intensity. And that’s followed by another 6s task (hey Brooders has some great foreshadowing..). And just after that the event will start…(and it’s just like Deep Space Homer, Fire Department and others…do tasks, earn prizes. I’ll detail it below)

~~Back with more as I go through it all…~~details below. I’m running out to a drs appointment. But once I get back I’ll update the images.

Diary of a Wookiee: New Additions to Springfield in Hollywood

Hello hello!

Of course I write that and my brain is instantly singing “you say goodbye and I say hello… hello hello”… but anyhoo… HI FRIENDS!!!

So the Wild West has gone on to history where some feel it belongs (present company excluded) and now we all wait for the next big thing. This isn’t the post where I blab about what I think is next because frankly, I think it was said in a not so subtle hint, and honestly I don’t care what they do. New stuff to me is good stuff and I love this game even when they swing and miss (thinking of Whacking Day shenanigans). I may be a bit bitter about all the rocks leaving the crafting menu before I thought they would and missing out on more stuff to build a desert or emulate some of your designs but I’ll get over it. Today’s diary is just me sharing some pics of new stuff I saw in Springfield from a recent trip (26 May 16) I made to Universal Studios in Hollywood. If that sounds good to you… let’s go!
