Where Did THAT Come From- Space Marshmallow

In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where did THAT Come From?

In this post I will be going over the Origin of The Space MarshmallowWhy is it in our games? What does he have to do with Halloween? Let’s dive into the Simpsons TV Series to find out more.

The Space Marshmallow was brought into our games during Act 1 of the Halloween 2016 Event as the Final Personal Prize you could earn.

Season 18, Episode 4: Treehouse of Horror XVII (Married to the Blob)

The Episode opens up with Marge and Homer making out on the Hammock in the Back Yard. Marge notices a shooting star passing by, but Homer wants to focus on the making out. Too bad because it is hurling RIGHT AT THEM! The Meteor almost tears Marge’s head off (still takes quite a bit of her hair off).

The Meteor that landed breaks open to reveal some sort of Green Ooze inside. Homer of course being himself, thinks it is Space Marshmallow and quickly consumes it… well he tries to, but it keeps wiggling away. (Why am I thinking Better Off Dead right now?)

The poor lil Green Goo keeps trying to escape, even through… well… Homer’s Nostrils of course. Nothing looks more like slimey boogers than Green Goo, right? Homer just won’t let the poor thing escape. He is determined to have the Space Marshmallow in his belly.

The Green Goo in his Belly is starting to cause some chaos. It is giving Homer subliminal messages to eat EVERYTHING… then poop… then eat some more… then poop while eating… EWWWWWWWWWWW. Homer eats everything in site in the Kitchen but he just can’t seem to curb his appetite. Enter “poor” Bart who is woken by all the commotion and quickly becomes a possible new course in Homer’s endless meal, but Marge steps in just in time.

Growing Homer wobbles into a group of Teens having a Beach Party. He tries to curb the urge to eat them all, until a BBQ sauce fight ensues. EVERYTHING tastes better with BBQ sauce, right? Squeaky Voice Teen seems to make himself the first victim… err… meal when he falls into the fire pit. MMmmmmmm Extra Virgin …

Ever growing, he makes his way into town and Oktoberfest. Mmmmm Beer Battered Germans. There goes Uter. Now a big ginormous Yellowy Blob is munching and crunching all over town. Enter Sir Mix A Lot…

I like Big Guts and I cannot lie

Double Chins with the chafing thighs

When a Dude walks in with the hanging jowls, and my stomach starts to growl

I’m getting hungry

So I masticate

Chomping on the overweight

I eat Fat People for days

Like potato chips by Lay’s

Try to eat just one, but it can’t be done

I’ve got to eat a ton

Baby Likes Fat

Baby Likes Fat

The Simpsons are watching it all unfold on TV as the now Green Blob Homer is terrorizing the town while the cops are trying to shoot him down. Sadly no one is paying attention to the 50ft Lenny. Enter Dr. Phil. He tries to body shame Homer about his “weight problem”. He’s gotta help him, help Homer’s family, help Homer, help Phil, help Homer. HUH??

married-to-the-blob-8

Homer does miss Marge. All that shoveling food down his throat has put him in the mood for some lovin… EWWWWW. Marge feels bad but she just can’t love a 4000 ton cannibal. Homer begs Marge. He would do anything to keep her in his life.

Just how can they turn this into a positive? Well by “helping” the Homeless Population of course. They create a “Homeless Shelter” for them. Too bad nobody told them the Shelter is INSIDE Homer’s belly.

There you have it, a Treehouse of Horrors episode drops yet another cool item into our silly games for our Halloween cravings.

Did you get the Space Marshmallow? What do you think of him? Did you remember this episode? Got a certain song stuck in your head now? Let us know.

  1. I thought it might’ve been from that episode, but wasn’t 100% sure. Coincidentally, I just watched the episode last night, right after reading this post. I love the song so much lol. And I never knew that the marshmallow had a task, but I can’t wait to try it out later. Thanks Bunny!

  2. I guess it’s a Marshmallow World in the Nuclear Winter as well. 😉 Glad to see a sum of one of the most overlooked THOH Episodes, In my opinion. I was completely shocked by this when I was younger, and seeing Homer as a giant Green Blob Monster actually kind of scared me.

  3. I haven’t seen most of the Treehouse of Horror episodes. It doesn’t take much to scare me.

  4. Is there still no post on the gils deal?

  5. It was actually a pretty good THOH episode. Something you don’t hear people say too often anymore.

  6. I like him as homer. Tapping till our fingers hurt.

Hey, Bunny. Marshmallow s are oft and gooey. Sending warm fuzzys your way.
Poor segue, but that’s all I gots

  8. When I saw that “Space Marshmallow” was a prize, I thought it was going to be 100 % useless until I saw he had a task of “Emulate Homer.” That will be his permanent task after this event.

  9. Mmmmm Beer-Battered Germans

  10. I’m glad I read this as I had my suspicions it was from this episode segment but wasn’t 100% sure seeing as how you don’t really see it being it own living creature apart from as mentioned above when it’s trying to escape homers belly.
